I too have bleeding gums, mainly on a night after vaping on an evening and brushing before bed, I mean more blood than foam, bleeding in general more, due to increased flow from giving up smoking, doesn't really affect my taste, yet... I do find that custom juices, in particular vc leave a slightly oily coating in my mouth, on the drip tip and on my chin.

toots, read on here somewhere that someone ate a few packets of salt & vinegar crisps a day for a few days and that seemed to sort it. Not the greatest for the waistline though! Lol maybe worth a shot? :-) I've only got cheese & onion crisps, will try to get some salt & vinegar ones on Monday, but our English store is forever running out of stock on flavoured crisps. Maybe they've got some instore now though. A few packets a day my god, I will get fat

If the toothbrush doesn't work I'd definitely try an iclear. Normally it is easier to taste things when they are warmer. And if that fails, and the budget will run to it, I'd think about an RBA. Actually I've just ordered an iclear 16 to try out, should arrive to me on New Year's Eve. Umm, what the heck is an RBA ???

Umm, what the heck is an RBA ??? ReBuildable Atomiser - not for the faint-hearted, but major increase in vapour production and taste from your juices. Because of the improvement, many users need to take down the strength of juice that they use. You have probably seen threads with mention of the RSST, Ithaka, AGA-T, Spheroid, etc. - these are all RBAs.

The idea of RBA's scares the kajeebees out of me just yet. Be interested to read the journey of another newbie to RBA's before giving it a go. So go on and give it a go!

I'd add Kayfun to chykensa's list of RBAs. What they are is things which expect you to wrap your own coils & wicks. Easiest & cheapest way in is an Igo-L. Just a dripper, but you'll find out if they are worth the bother.

I keep a tank of strong mint flavour for times like that. If your taste buds are reeeeeeeeally shot, you might need to vape the mint for a few days to bring 'em back around. Now that's another weird thing newdawn, I absolutely love anything minty, like after eights, mint sauce, mint sweets etc etc, but I have never since day one been able to vape anything remotely minty. I've tried menthol and ended up giving the bottle away, also high voltage which is cherry and mint and a minty bubblegum. I just have half a dozen vapes and can't take anymore, I wish I could because that should resolve my problem. I'm not a big fan of menthol either. I use joose juice soft mint when my taste buds are shot. It just tastes like soft mints. I keep it in my rotation of whatever juices I'm using that day. And use it for an hour or so in between flavours.

I can +1 for the joose juice soft mint ... Lovely stuff ... I had the same flavour problems for a few weeks ... Couldn't find anything I liked ... Couldn't understand what people were raving about .. I too had a heavy gum bleeding issue . I was a heavy 30-40 a day B&H smoker and I think the change in your mouth's chemistry when the fags go have something to do with it ... The bleeding has now stopped and I'm beginning to actually enjoy rather than tolerate different flavours.. I really think it is a question of giving it time , keep persevering and eventually your body will adapt

Me to and having a variety on the go, helps stop your taste buds getting too tuned in, I find anyway. Smoking restricts blood flow, so stopping gives your body chance to function ' normally ' that includes getting a good blood supply to your gums, helping to keep teeth healthy. ' Smoker's mouth ' isn't pretty. If bleeding gums are a persistent problem though, it's always worth having that checked out as smoking can mask other health issues.

I don't always get the abbreviations on forums, I was on one forum couple of years ago and they kept putting IMHO in their posts and I didn't have a clue what they were talking about for ages, then the penny dropped

Ok, you persuaded me to try the soft mint from joose juice, went on the website but it won't let me go to the juice page so I can't place an order Is the soft mint more like a spearmint flavour?

It gets sooooo frustrating when you hear others raving on about certain flavours so you get those flavours and end up feeling like you've wasted more money again on juice that still don't taste right Yeah I will keep persevering, coz there's no way I'm going back to fags, not ever

So, since I started this thread, so far on my list of things to get I have the following: 1. Buy a good new toothbrush from the pharmacy 2. Buy 50 packs of salt & vinegar crisps (50 should keep me going lol) 3. Get an iclear 16 (already on its way) 4. Buy some soft mint juice from joose juice (when I can get into the website) And if none of that works just wait till my taste buds rectify themselves
