The higher strength nic base works out cheaper in the long run as you use less... for example I use 72mg base and I mix at 18mg, so need 25% base. If I used 36mg base I woukd need twice the amount, but it's not half the price, if that makes sense? I dilute my VG purely to make it easier to use. It's very viscous and gloopy undiluted and it's very hard to suck up in the syringe. The ejuicemeup calculator works out everything for you. You just need to make sure you enter your nic base details, flavour % and required strength and PG/VG, then hit the calculate button. If you're unsure, post the resulting recipe on the mixology board and one of us will be happy to check your calculations for you The ejmu calc is a breeze to use I must say. Yes I read similar on another thread>>> "dilute my VG purely to make it easier to use. It's very viscous and gloopy undiluted and it's very hard to suck up in the syringe" and was thinking when I decant the 72/74 into the 'many' amber smaller bottles and freeze will I struggle. Or do peeps only add after when mixing the liquid.
Many= perhaps hundreds

@zero I don't dilute my nic base, just my plain VG. When you decant, you'll probably find it fairly easy with a small funnel, rather than syringing it. Most VG nic bases are pre diluted, or so I believe, mine definitely is

Thanks. Now I'm wondering whether to order vg base or pg base. The current juices from the place I 'used' to buy is 70/30 pg. What base do most buy in?

I usually buy PG nic base. I find it easier to find, and prefer a more PG heavy liquid anyway (60/40 or 70/30), so a predominance of PG is fine.

Think VG nic base is mostly used by people with alergys to PG who are making VG only eliquids (though will have some PG from flavouring)

I buy VG nic base. Because I mix @ 50/50 and 18mg, I premix 100ml 36mg 100% VG, then I only have to add PG and flavourings... makes it much easier for me, but it really depends on what you want your resulting mix to be. Also, with the stronger base it's not as important unless you want a particulary PG or VG mix, but with the lower strength base, it is more important to get the right base for your mix... does that make any sense? I seem to be rambling

ok question on mix calculator on orange section nicotine base if i use Diamond Crystal 36mg. The finest UK made PG nicotine base. For making Vaping liquid. Contains: 96.4% PG 3.6% Nicotine 100ml Bottle.
do i add 96,4 % pg in the pg box ????? and if so this auto adds vg at remaining % or do i just put 36mg in the right hand box.
also what does the 10c default setting mean ?

Nah, just put 100% PG for the nic base, it'll be fine.

That's exactly it if you want your flavour at 25% and yeppers....just bung the lot in, put the lid on, give it a shake and put it away for a day or weeks, depending on what you're making. Really is super easy once you play with the calc a couple of times to get your head around it, which it looks like you have, so well done!
I think I read RA is good to go after 24 hours, but someone else can confirm.

Just double checked and looks right to me. 25% might be bit strong though, but you know your tastebuds. impression I get from reading here is premix is probably closer to 15% mark. I'd start at 20% if I were you, easier to add bit more conc if not strong enough but harder to dilute out flavour. I've been putting in nic last as most risky bit.

A wee PS though...you'll get A LOT more mixes out of a bottle of 72mg nic. I know it's more expensive initially, but well worth it overall and definitely something to consider once you're feeling more comfortable about all this mixing malarkey.
