slightest ripple of a butterflies wings in all this. I appreciate a lot of our stuff has COMPONENTS made in china and if Im honest I really don't know how big the ecig market is over there but this is just my take on it. Lets just have a little think about the size of these wings. 1.3 million (at the last count) vapers in the UK. If every single one of those bought one Mod from FT +1.3 million extra products But they don't buy just one, they want 3 or 4 Mods and they want the same in Atties (This is proven in the FT threads on here and FB) so we will say 6 items per customer (excluding other items, juices, clearos, drip tips, etc etc) so 1.3 million items now turns to 7.8 million items. Now this site is worldwide and I have not googled it but I reckon there must be close to 10 million vapers (I could be wrong???) If they all purchased 6 items each does that not have a severe butterfly effect????? And it's those 7.8 million items, along with countless millions of non-vaping items, that is pouring money into the Chinese economy and preventing them spending their days up to their knees in water in the paddy fields subsistence farming

I am hardwired to value an individual's choice within my job as a support worker. Yes I may occassionally dissagree/dislike what that person I support chooses to do/buy or whatever, but as long as that person is not put at any risk or harm then that person will get what they choose. If this can not happen then I will evident in my paperwork why. Same goes with the clone debate if I am not at risk or harm with what I buy, and the place speciffically has no evidence against it to proove otherwise then I will get what I choose. Evidence meaning directly linked to said vender( almost auto corrected to bender but I caught that one lol)

OK, so because one person had one conversation with one person anything made in China should be avoided?
And let's be absolutely honest here, the clone debate here is irrelevant. It's anything where anyone is forced to make anything, just that this particular person identified with one item.
Now, that's the nature of manufacturing in China. Sometimes the workers are treated fairly and responsibly, sometimes they're not. Whether it's a cloned e-cigs or not is irrelevant.
So where do you go from here? Well you can boycott anything you can that's made in China. Well, that doesn't really work. Why? You're typing on a Computer, a Phone or a Tablet. Something within it will have been made in a factory in China. Try going around your house and listing every single manufactured item in your house... it soon gets 1. Impossible 2. Silly
Now, how do you determine whether the item you're buying is from a 'fair' Chinese factory or a 'not so fair' Chinese factory? You can't. Personally there is no way you can ever know whether the individual that made/supervised the production of that item wasn't beaten.
So lets just restrict it to ecig stuff? Well, how about the steel that the ecig was made from, how do you know where that came from? How do you know that the minerals that were mined were not from suppressed Chinese workers? Again, the further down the line you go, there's no way you can tell.
No matter the quality of the mod, whether made in the UK, EU, Asia, you just personally cannot ever know that somewhere along the line someone was not mistreated in the production process from start to finish.
Even the high end mods that people buy (£3000 for a chi you anyone?) use batteries manufactured in China (some of them are shipped on to Japan for post production modification or vice versa). Are you willing to give batteries up?
So you’ve decided to boycott Chinese made stuff ecig or otherwise. So consider this, what about those workers that are treated fairly? You stop buying, the hard working and well treated workers from China lose jobs because their companies don’t have the work for them to do. They are unable to feed their families as a result. In much the same as the not so well treated workers do.
Another possibility is that the not so well treated workers are worked even harder to meet stricter profit margins pressed upon those companies as a result. Instead of 2 five minute breaks per 10 hour day, they now get one.
Feel better for not buying anything from China and boycotting? Maybe not so much?
The issue here is much much much bigger than whether to buy clones from China or not. And you deciding to boycott China will not necessarily make the situation any better.
Do I know the solution? No. Do I think the solution is "Don't buy clones!" No.

If all forums followed the likes of a certain forum, you will find that people will buy without advice or support. Then comes the issue of the unknowledgeable buyers having accidents for the media. Why? because no one was there to point them in the right direction. I am not saying I am pro clones, just merely pro choice. That's it for me in this topic lol. I may become actually active here

Lmao final words. We are fighting against the goverment who are trying to restrict our choices, yet as a vaping/baking/caping community we are doing the exact same as our governments. Very hipacritical if I do say so myself
