Just reading a thread where nitrile gloves and t.juice were mentioned which I could not find in the thread for abbreviations etc., so thought about some of the things I wanted to ask about mixing ready for when I start to do so just in case a few friendly folks are inclined to point me in the right direction
Are nitrile glove generally used due to the chemicals in mixing as they are better than normal gloves (I work in care and can get these 'sort of' free)?!?!!
When people talk about t.juice on here do they usually mean the already mixed with veg or pg liquid mixes available or the 'pure' nicotine juice? Also are there any particular benefits from using one over the other (other than the ease of poisoning oneself from the pure nic)?!!
I spike allergies quite frequently as I'm getting older, so was considering using mainly veg glycerine from probably boots for mixing.... are there any known downsides to this?
Does anyone have any good idea's about a 'storage box' for keeping / using for mixing their kit in? Was thinking about some sort of sewing kit style toolbox that maybe had a lot of seperators in so can store things upright, and if there's and area I can use for mixing on as well, then bonus!!
Can you tell yet that I'm just a big kid?!?!?!?!!!!!!
Cheers m'dears..... J

Janine gloves are to protect your hands from the nic base although if your sensitive to allergies probably best to wear them throughout the mixing process. If you go 100 % VG them the liquid will be quite viscous and the throat hit will be greatly reduced as this comes from the PG. boots PG is fine it's what I use, some dilute this with 10% distilled water I don't bother as I mix 50/50 pg VG, at 100% VG from boots it will be really thick but never tried vaping it personally. You can great 10ml storage boxes from eBay, 30ml storage is a it more of a challenge and more expensive, I'll find the links for the boxes I use shortly.

Thanks both... all help gratefully received! Karma... I don't consider thinning down with vodka (or maybe a bit of rum) a downside.... I consider that an upside.....

I tend to not bother with gloves when mixing, I find they actually get in the way and make fine precise movements more tricky (you can tell I'm not a surgeon, can't you!). the VG from Boots or other high street pharmacies is fine, but will need a bit of thinning - usually >10% vodka or deionised water. As mentioned, you will have the vast majority of flavourings in a PG base, but you will need to have some PG (at least 30%?) so that you get an acceptable throat hit., and to make the juice flow a bit more easily. T-Juice - most of us now use their concentrates - see Karma's link above - I mix these at around 19-20% for a good full flavour. You might want to have a trip around the Pound shops and the bargain aisle of places like The Range and Home Bargains. Larger tool boxes or fishing tackle boxes, with the concertina-type cantilevered layers which open out as you lift them out might be a good idea. Some even have fittings for a small padlock if you need to keep liquids and nic base away from little fingers and paws.

I make VG heavy eliquid Janine as I'm PG sensitive, so my flavours are the only PG element in them.Throat hit isn't a consideration for me, can't stand it infact. It is helpful though to dilute the non nic VG, makes it less gloopy and much easier to handle . . . VG nic base is already diluted, so you don't need to mess with that. The majority of my flavours I keep in the bottom of the fridge, not essential but it does tidy them away and like most things kept chilled, helps to extend their shelf life. Although I have just migrated into a kitchen cupboard as well with the number I seem to have accumulated.
