only problem i can see is that they might be fragile very good at holding heat but very brittle

A few people bought them on the last HC order Lilac, don't know how they've got on . . . think they're the ones you mod to go inside the Torpedo Tank, least I hope they are, as I bought a box of them, for it.

They are not very good, from my own experience.
I'm not 100% sure but, I think Lisa at C9 is selling them off cheaply if they are the same ones.

If it helps I've a ceramic knife and it's probably the most robust piece of kitchen equipment I own. I don't know if that translates well to cartos. Just thought i'd share

Ceramic is very strong, I can't imagine it being brittle. But I've seen those on Cloud9's clearance so thought there must be something wrong with them. I would love a ceramic knife but understood that they can chip or snap if you drop them. Maybe I'll splash out after what you've said, Monster. scylla

they use ceramic cups in tig welding,after a while when a lot of welding has been done they do go very very brittle

I give up. The CERAMIC is the part in the cartomiser that holds the wick and wire. The casing is steel. These are the ones we use in arry tanks.
