I just sent a lump of dog poo in a sealed container to myself and labelled the package - "Handle with Care - Delicate Platinum Necklace Inside". The guy that steals it will probably win a compensation claim against you for sending unsafe packages through the post. What a crazy world!

Indeed, same as a local burglar who sliced his finger badly whilst ransacking a house on a blade in a kitchen drawyer, he only got compensation !

I remember VE Jason retelling a tale from during his building company days, that when they went to replace/fix a false ceiling . . . a snowstorm of empty padded envelopes fell down on them when they removed the ceiling. I guess like many a thing, the crooked few can give the many good ones a bad reputation.

Lol! I have read somewhere, so possibly not true, that you shouldn't have barbed wire around your property incase someone injures themselves climbing over it ??? When we lived in the middle of nowhere, we had an electric fence only to stop the cattle eating the garden

I think it is razor wire that is banned.
barbed is Ok I guess, so you can still inflict a modicom of pain, just not shred them to bits lol.

They do this all the time with envelopes with small objects in them (like the carto tool) - because it feels like cash or jewellery. We had a spate of XTAR spacers going missing out of packets and when we get returns of things like airflow controllers, tank bases, or similar small round items - invariably the envelope has a little nick in it and is empty with just the senders note inside. Disgraceful and they deserve everything they get if caught

Best to use a jiffy envelope and pad it out with vaper towel to disguise the shape of the contents

Still no excuse, but these thieves must get more than just some spacers or a carto tool otherwise they would stop doing it ??? I hope they all do get caught, but unlikely. It would only take a few to get caught for others to think twice!
