I predict a riot!

Just been to get groceries. 80ish youths gathering in the carpark, with 40-50 police around the corner. Apparently a Mark Duggan protest- I live 2 miles from Tottenham. No doubt the youths will show their discontent by helping themselves to Nike Air Max, Iphone's, and PS4's.
Dilemma- have been working 7 days a week since mid December(Boxing Day,Xmas+New year). I am off work until Monday and have no beer in the house. Do I-
a) Stay on the wagon and stay safe.
b) Stuff caution and get myself a case Stella to accompany the bottle of 10 year old Belvinie I've been saving for today.

Putting my jacket on now, I will make one concession. I'll take an old ego- don't want the MVP getting damaged do we.:-o

I still remember the last riot and some of the rioters saying we done what we done because of lack of work etc etc, yeah right......dirty little scumbags who would not work if it was handed to them on a plate.

I may take the cowards way out, go over there when they're finished. There are 4 pound shops they will ignore. I could do with some epoxy glue and a set of minature screwdrivers.
The police seem to be out numbering them now, even got some riot horses kitted up. Got a few mates coming round to watch the action from my front room. I've put my telescopic ladder by the back kitchen window in case they start burning random properties again.

seniorphil whatever you do, stay safe. I think even I would go without my whisky for a night. Some people don't need any excuse to cause trouble, and a lot think it's just a computer game... and they can just hit reset if it becomes too much sort of attitude.

I have to say that Mark Duggans aunt hasn't helped the situation. When interviewed outside the court yesterday she was yelling, " no justice, no peace"

I don't think it will come to much at the moment. I heard on TV a while ago that the vast majority of riots happen during summer months as the type of idiots who do it don't like being cold or getting wet, so let's pray for rain.

Schoolboy error if you don't get them to bring the Stella.  It's only fair seeing as they're already out and about.

The police seemed to of calmed things down, they split the main group into 3 or 4 smaller groups. They seem to be drifting off home, it's cold and tea time. Bless them.
