I've been trying to mix my own Cherry menthol without much success ???
What i'd like to have is a sweeter vaper, I find that mixing black cherry & methol flavour in a base nic liquid gives a very "flat" taste. I think a bit of sweetness is required. What can I use?

Ethyl Maltol imparts sweetness - too much and it's candy floss, though...

A drop of honey (flavouring) may help Des Like Hifi says, ethyl maltol is often used, but peronally it gives the juice an edge that I don't like.

I've made a very nice cherry menthol using PA Black Cherry in a 50/50 vg/pg mix. I'm not sure of the recipe 'cos it started off as just a mess around/trial but I've gone with approx 2 drops of flavour per 1 drop of menthol.

As Dave said Ethyl Maltol is a favourite but use sparingly. TPA also have a sweetener which unlike Ethyl Maltol is ready made for immediate use.
I've found Honey can sometimes be a good sweetener, however be carefull as Honey can dominate quite easilly.

I'll just echo what the rest have said - Ethyl Maltol and Honey Flavour will certainly add a bit of sweetness.
You could also try some Sucralose available at Cloud 9 Vaping or just play around with your PG/VG Mix...
Later...

I know sucralose is probably in some juices I've bought but it's not something I'd buy, google Sucralose Dangers, some very scarey results, though the same could probably be said about most things if you search hard enough.

Hi - I find anything with sugar in in it clogs up my atties as the sugar will caramelise around the coil and form into a hard, sticky blob after a while.
I use a few drops of my own Ethyl Maltol solution along with a solution made from pure sucralose and PG (don't use Splenda - it contains a small amount of sucralose in maltodextrin=another sugar). These are the best I have found so far for sweetening a mix with no technical side-effects.

I have seen it said, but not tried it myself . . . that Cotton Candy flavouring works as a sweetner in juice.

Cheers Dan Really good info on there and so clearly & well explained - even I understood it... Not a big DIY'er yet, although I do tend to mix n match premixes & have always struggled to get the sweetness right. Caramels good for RY types but in others it just doesn't go. Maybe sucralose and/or ethyl maltol would be just the thing Nice one

Glad you found it useful-will hopefully be doing a few more posts on DIY liquids and may also post some recipes if I can find them.
