Hi everyone, I have joined the forum as I have just started smoking again after stopping for almost Severn years and want to get into electronic smoking as quickly as possible. I used to be a very heavy smoker and was (lucky) enough to get a warning with a mini stroke which came via the loss of my arm for a few minutes only, after having my neck opened up and the artery cleaned and tubes put in I was as right as rain again and of course stopped smoking immediately. Unfortunately, due to much stress and to my families bewilderment I am now smoking roll ups at the rate of around ten a day, with a tip and not too largely built. I must stop this though and as fast as possible, next time could be a fully blown stroke and we all know what that can do to a person. last week I had my annual Christmas social drink at the house of an old hippy mate of mine and to my surprise he and his partner were using electronic cigs and I tried one and enjoyed it. I started doing my homework on line and liked the look of the green smoke from USA but I do not want to shop on line for this particular product even though I shop on line a lot. I then looked almost like going for the elites as they were available in the high street but then I found this site and read how expensive the tips were followed by the battery issues associated with these types and I have to be careful as I am only on a small pension. since joining last night have had brief looks on here but as my young granddaughters are staying at my house at the moment it is difficult to stay on the forum for too long until they are in bed and not long after this time I go to bed myself as I have painful back problems. Anyway I do not want to stop puffing on something similar to a golden Virginia roll up so I will be going into as much info on here as I can soak in before I make my decision, any helpful stores in my area I could visit would also be of assistance to me as I like to see things in front of me usually in instances of shopping such as this one. I must post this now before the forum runs out of space ! and if people reply to me at all, please bear with me if there are longish absentees from me. Thanks, martintheveg, Bromley, Kent.

Hello and martinthevegthe best deals for e-cigs are mainly all online, but we can certainly help you choose an affordable kit from a reputable vendor. You say you enjoyed using your friends' e-cigs. any idea what they had and what liquid they were using so as we could try to help you find similar?

welcome to the forum Martin, best start on vaping then by the sounds of it! as an ex smoker who's lapsed you should be able to take to vaping pretty well if you swap over swiftly
I'm on my phone do can't link you some good starter kits but I'm sure a few members will be along pronto with some detailed help.
a good starter kit can be got four under 30 quid, that's two batteries and a couple of tanks, probably from myepack website - you will be sorted! good luck and look forward to chatting more

Thanks for the welcome, yes the digs were gifts to them from relatives I,m sure they were called "blue" and that the flavour was called gold, I am not absolutely sure but I can always call him and he lives quite close by to me.

Hello martintheveg - great name! What a nasty surprise it must have been when you had your mini stroke. I'm glad you are getting off the stinkies again Myepack is a great site with good prices and they are extremely quick and helpful, many of us use them regularly. Here's a link to a starter kit that many have used myepack.co.uk/kits/evod-starter-kit-ss.htmlOr you may want to go for something a bit more 'advanced' as you sound very determined and most people tend to upgrade quite quickly, maybe something like this: myepack.co.uk/mods/itaste-mvp-v2-0-metal-grain.html this mod is very popular and on special offer at the moment. For juices, I like joosejuice.co.uk/, they do 10ml taster bottles very cheaply and there are lots to try. Hope that helps a bit More people will be along shortly if they haven't while I have been typing this! ....and they have, I am so slow at typing!

Thanks pep, yes I saw this site last night and wondered if s.e.28 was somewhere around Belvedere Erith area as I was getting tired in bed when I found it, I noted how cheap they were compared to what I have found so far on line, I am on a nexus 7 at the moment, my laptop seems to be getting a bit full now after 7 years and is running very slow so please excuse any poor English, sometimes this tablet runs away with itself.

Sap, thanks for your admiration of my name, I used to grow a lot of fruit and veg in an allotment years ago and when I used to pop into my local afterwards for a pint I always had loads of veg with me and that,s how I came by the name, the avatar PIC of me is me smoking the hookah in Kashan, Iran last year in a 5000 year old market baths, no drugs by the way, just lots of flavours to choose from, this pastime is very big and popular in Iran even for young girls and women, very similar to our own pubs/inns.
I wanted to mention, I do own a brand new portable battery pack that is quite small and powerful, it has a 11.000 mah battery and lots of cables and USB ports, even though I use morphine patches and controlled drugs for my back I always go on a solo trip to a country every year for a few weeks as I am adventurous person and although happily married I have itchy feet and love travelling, this is getting more difficult for me recently though and my 7_8 week trips are now down to 3. I,m sure this battery pack is going to be very useful in this case.
