Really pleased for you, that you've finally been diagnosed, so can be treated correctly, a1laserboy. Hopefully you'll be feeling the benefits very shortly.

Hi Martin - big ((((hug)))) a1laserboymy husband also suffers from that - he is on pretty strong stuff - did you have an appointment with the pain clinic already ? - they should be able to sort you out. There are lots of books of what to eat and what not to eat - as too much acid in the body is not good I have not found it yet in the UK but in Austria you get over the counter a so called base powder - which helps against the acid - myabe you have a word with your pharmacist take care

Thank you everyone I took a little break, sorry. I know it was very rude especially now i see everyones kind wishes. Just needed to kind of get away to sort my mind out. Thank you everyone for your wishes - you brought a tear to my eye! I didn't realise so many here are also living with similar problems and even worse. To be honest, i kind of feel a little bit silly to make a big deal of it. In the big scheme of things, it's very minor. I'm not going to mention you all, but all of you - you are stars. I hope you also are able to stay on top of your pain and problems, my thoughts are with you! You know - one thing that has changed in me over the last few months or so is seeing people that can't get around so well and saying to myself that I kind of understand what you might be going through. I never saw it before, I never realised just how much invisible things can effect people. I used to think that it wasn't real, that they might have been joking or attention seeking or just weak. God I feel guilty about it! Really, thank you!

God I feel guilty about it! Really, thank you! Great to see you back. No need for apologies. We all deal with our stuff in different ways. None of it is a case of right or wrong, but rather what suits us best. Years ago, I also used to accuse people with "invisible" pain as attention seeking if they dared to speak about it. Now I know just how much of an arsehole I was. That's the trouble with a lot of us humans. We can be that dumb, self obsessed, or merely intolerant, that unless we can visibly see what could cause a person pain, we automatically dismiss it as not really there. But, life is one big learning curve, and the older you get and the more you experience pain and suffering yourself, the more empathy and tolerance you gain. Probably one of the only perks to the suffering. Here's another hug just for luck

a worry shared eases the load a1laserboy, fret not. When you finally get a diagnosis its a shock, you need time to mourn the life you imagined to absorb and accept how your diagnosis will affect you from now on in, that takes some adapting and you've chosen to have a few days to mull it all over. Try to see it as a start of something, now you have a diagnosis you can concentrate on finding the best medication for you so you can live your life as fully as possible .........as long as you can still grip your vape gear all is great!! Tease-smiley
