There's nothing worse than continual pain, with no relief in sight. A big man from me too!

a1laserboy now you have a proper diagnosis you should be able to access better treatment, so in a way it's quite a positive thing. May be worth looking around for a Support Group or an Arthritis Forum so as you can get some support from others going through the same thing? Hope they get your pain under control soon

Sometimes its best to have a clear diagnosis, and the chance to try medication that can help - hope youre feeling a bit perkier virtual hugs are nice, they don't hurt like the real thing! I'm another chronic pain sufferer Just got off the phone from GP surgery and begged some of my drugs back After a two month break, with barely any sleep and magnified pain I've decided I'd prefer my aches dumbed down, a drugged nights sleep and general morning grogginess instead I'll probably type broken biscuits on forum for a few weeks...... bear with me!

HI a1laserboy I too have RA and took them over a year to diagnose, I sympathise with the pain Hun... *group hug*its not nice
I am on sulphalsalazine and hydroxychloroquine 8x500mg tablets a day also Gold injections co-codamol ex strong for pain.
Anyways they diagnosed me in 2012 with esr levels in the 100s.... today my ra is virtually in remission, bloods back to near normal,
Pain managed fairly well, as long as I take the above pills........link Nras is the place to go lots of support and peeps in same predicament
Anyway hun lots of sympathy from me [the pain is never ending]...or it seems that way.... but rheumatology will look after you well..
They are great with me...... between us here and ra team we'll guide you ........... TAKE CARE *group hug*Tracey

They have since moved me on to 75mg Fentanyl skin patches which are synthetic morphines. I don't know what planet I'm on a lot of the time Especially if the pain gets so bad I pop a Tramadol on top. I have to do it sometimes just to knock me out to sleep. Trouble is, if I am going out socialising I have to cut it right down so I am fit to drive.
