Medical diagnosis, just need a hug please

I know there are plenty of people here in a much more deserving position of hugs, but can i have a little moan about my lot? 

Been having really bad joint pain for over 6 months, gp put it down to gout as levels were high, but still it was there, all over the place. Finally saw a Rheumatologist in december and he also thought gout but took more bloods. Saw him on monday and my anti ccp level is very high (over 200) high which is apparently the confirming pointer to Rheumatoid Arthritis.

So thankfully now I have gotten into the system, I start on drugs for it on sunday and I hope that they will help to keep it under control.

I've been on stronger painkillers for a while (tramadol) stepped up from codeine which has helped with the pain, but I am sure i have posted random stuff that seems whacky. I haven't meant to upset anyone, I apologise if i did.

To be honest, i don't really have anyone in my life to talk to about my problems. Sorry to just put it out there, but felt i needed to do it. I normally try to keep up the strong man thing, but sometimes, it's hard.

Yep Martin, you talk loads of old bo$$ocks at times, find me a member who doesn't!!!! I think that is why this is such a great Forum, you can let us know whats going on aside from Vaping and it's anonymous (mostly!).
I hope the new regime comes good, my Mrs has Lupus and some of her symptoms are similar to RA. I dont suppose they are going to Gold Plate you??

Hey up, my wife has that poxy fibromyalgia and gets severe pain all the time so I know the effect it can have on someone, she's on that tramadol, codiene and various other things but it still hurts. Bloody weird illness that one.

But yeh, regarding a forum I think it's a great place to talk about anything really and this place is full of superb people so carry on, better than storing it all up, that's for sure.

I've been on Tramadol for quite some time and I hate them got to have an op on my knee soon and had an op on my shoulder last year.

I hope you get the correct medication dosage soon so you are relieved of pain.

That explains a lot 

I hope the knee op goes well, I'm sure after your recovery you'll be running around like a opioid crazed loony!

Yes, poxy in the extreme! They seem to be hard to diagnose, even to get the attention of the doctors that something is wrong in the first place. I just hope that for the most part she can be pain free and you can enjoy those moments amongst the low times.

Hopefully, weird thing is I can't sleep when I take them, which is why I hate them so much. I just veg out. so only take them when I absolutely have to.

I was put on tramadol a few years ago and hated the effect of them, horrible things

Really hoping the new drugs regime works for you and quickly, in the meantime, more than happy to excuse any drug induced ramblings
