If you've a dishwasher any metal parts I'd shove in the cutlery basket and blast them through on a wash cycle . . . I do that with a number a things. Though did have a scary moment when I lost my denture down the drain thing after deciding after a few vinos they'd benefit from a wash cycle. Had to phone a friend to get them come retrieve them.

An old toothbrush is great for cleaning threads and nooks n crannies.

Hot water and washing up liquid followed by a good rinse hmmm, tried that still tastes a little iffy. No dishwasher I am afraid. I did wonder about a pan and boiling up with a little liquid in there

I did wonder about a pan and boiling up with a little liquid in there I normally soak mine in washing up liquid and hot water (not boiling) for about an hour, then give them a good scrub with a cloth before rinsing and drying. A toothbrush is a good idea as well! What sort of atty is it? It may be that there are machine residues in airflow holes etc. edit - just seem it's a fogger. The airflow on that doesn't come apart I think. Mine (a v3) seemed ok after a good long soak.

pan boiling the steel parts, vodka soak/shake, rinse + repeat was the only thing that worked on a dripper I got from ft.
