Yesss!!! After several weeks of frustration and some appalling bad language I finally managed to re-coil an Evod 2.2 ohm and it vapes beautifully Think I'm gonna take it out and frame it

It's a good feeling what method did you use? Silica, or cotton/microcoil?

Thanks ionian I used ekowool wick (2.0) with a couple of strands for flavour wick. Previous attempts resulted in either shorting out or a very very tight draw. Many thanks to Super-Shiny and Greigster for their excellent tutorials

I gave up after a week of trying and failing repeatedly , so I turned to mixing instead . No doubt I WILL try again

Hi Tom, so glad to have assisted in some small way, that is what we all are on this forum for. We are all beginners at some point and we have all learned from others and hopefully pass or experiences on. We just never stop learning....and that is the fun.
Cheers Neil

tominmids - yeah!!! Well done my friend, now you know it is possible, you will be inspired to carry on until you can almost do them in your sleep. It might seem an awful lot of trouble, but as you have recently discovered, a home recoiled head is just so much better than a stock head. Once you have mastered an Evod head using a 'normal' coil, you should try a microcoil with cotton wool - they are even better!

Cheers Neil Thanks Neil, and thanks to the many people on this forum that give time and effort to help us newbies, it is much appreciated I've learned a hell of a lot on this forum, and the number of people I've learnt from is huge, and hopefully I can pass on my experience too Tom

chykensa I have been thinking about a microcoil, but worry about trying to thread the cotton through that tiny coil but yes I think it will have to be the next "project"

Well done, my pile of protank coils is still sat sniggering at me!
Done bigger coils for dripper but not attempted protank/evod ones yet. I've been putting it off by replacing standard spent silica wick with cotton but blown a couple of coils dry burning so will have to coil soon.
