Hi - I have just bought 2 new iClear 16s at 2ohm and fitted them to my ego, everything seems to be working fine and love the hit and taste they produce (so much better than the CE4s), however, I have just read on MyPack that the 2ohm are for VV/VW devices and the 1.5ohm is for non v devices (like egos) - is there a reason for this, should I not be using this clearo on my ego????

I think myepack are just offering some general advice to help simplify things. There are no problems with a 2 ohm head on an ego battery. A 1.5 ohm head will give slightly more flavour, but there is absolutely nothing to worry about with what you have.

I had a similar query a few days ago based on the info on the ordering page. I ended up ordering spares of the lower resistance which i am currently using on the ego. From the replies i got, i believe that you should be fine with the 2ohms as it is a dual coil clearo (either one would be fine) . The lower resistance will produce a bit more vapour and flavour but is not always recommended on an ego battery as you would get a lot less life out of the battery because of the power used.
Hope that is right!

That seems weird advice from MyPack (Myepack?) - I'd expect it to be the other way around if they were going to advise at all. The battery won't last as long on 1.5 ohms, which is presumably why vapeescape used to suggest not using low res devices on Rivas.
Maybe somebody complained that the vape is a bit feeble with 3.7v on 2 ohms. It would be stronger with 1.5 ohms, but there are people happily vaping 2.4 ohms on 3.7v devices so I'd guess that 2 ohms would satisfy a fair proportion of people.

Hi,it confuses me the ohm thing I thought a 1.5ohm to 2ohm was best for ego batterys? and anything above 2.0 ohm you needed VV-VW? I tried the 2.0 ohm I clear 16 coil on my ego,it worked ok,but when I tried it on my VV battery at 4 volts it was a lot better.I never realised a low ohm would drain my ego battery more,i thought it would be the opposite,i thought it would drain it more using a high ohm coil?

I buy 2.0ohm iClears (or whatever it is).
It drinks far too much as it is. 1.5 is just giving it an excuse to drink the bar dry.
