Hi All
I searched these forums when I first started vaping and first I bought an ego kit, and then an itaste v3.0 vv vw. I feel I am ready for the next step, tbh I am not happy with the itaste battery, does not seem to last nearly as long as on my ego 900 and takes far longer to charge.
What is the next step within a reasonable budget, hopefully under £40. Something like a vamo ? dont really want to get into mechanical mods
any suggestions, links, etc much appreciated

Innokin MVP or Innokin SVD all the way,you would,nt be disappointed with either. The MVP for me though edges it,cause of the great battery life.

mvp2 approx £36 with all you need, charger etc vamo approx £50 with all you need, charger etc svd approx £49 with all you need, charger etc a search of the web may give cheaper options. have a read up see what u think, everyone on here will have their favorites. personally I have the vamo and mvp2 and I would pick the MVP2 taking into account price & reliability. The vamo's are better looking and use batteries that you can swap over if u have 2. The Mvp2 has a built in battery that you cant change but you can use to vap while charging. The standard vamo batteries will last about a day (if your lucky) , the mvp batteries will last 2 days or more.

I would still pick the Mvp over the Vamo and expect more would too. I have a vamo V5 not sure on the V2 and its reliability etc. but its your choice to make and the vamo is still a nice mod. bonus that you have lots of batteries too. no the itaste batteries dont last well.

I'd go for the Vamo in that case, personally I much prefer it to the SVD - the menu system I wasn't keen on, as well as the rough edges on where the telescopic tubes are. Though that may have been just my one and doesn't apply to all. Though I'd still keep the MVP in mind when funds permit.

I don't have an MVP, but I believe it is limited to 11 watts - enough for most people, most of the time, but still. Anyway, if you have the 18650s and a limited budget then SVD or vamo seems the obvious choice.
I think the SVD is uglier, has a worse menu system. It might turn out to be more reliable than the vamo - the vamo has been around longer, so we know more about it - the thing that seems to go wrong most is the grommet round the pin, so if you get one be careful not to overtighten. I also avoid spring-loaded attys.
My SVD has a habit of turning itself off. Easy to turn it on again, but a bit of a nuisance.

I have 2 Vamos, and apart from the threads wearing eventually, they are a robust and hardwearing mod which I would buy again if I had to. Easy to use menu system, and an 18650 last at least a day and a half, so swop every evening for charging, and it's a piece of cake. Also looks nice in 18350 mode, but those pesky batteries need changing too often, so I tend not to bother unless I know I only need it for a couple of hours as a discreet pocket rocket. I know that zeldamum has an SVD, and I think I'm right in saying that she wasn't too impressed with the build quality or the menu system. Hopefully she will confirm this. Can't speak for the MVP2 but I'm not keen on the idea of a box mod, plus as long as it's shiny and tubular my OH thinks they are all the same mod - just hope that shoe doesn't look under my side of the bed!!

ok, cheers for all the options and advice
i have decided that i dont like the idea of a box mod, and would really prefer a mod that takes a 18650 battery rather than a built in battery
any other options than a vamo or svd

I had an svd. The fire button decided to get stuck, so sent it to Raid who couldn't fix it. The vamo is much easier to use and not as heavy.
