Hello all, I thought I’d drop in and give an update on how my excursion in to vaping is going, I’ve had the mvp v2.0 for just under a week now and for most of that I have been using Dekang cubano and veronica gold. One of the main reason I started was to cut down smoking in the evenings and my days off which I am currently in day 2 of 3. I found that I had to set the v.v and v.w setting differently on the mvp so that I had one more for cig style smoking and one for cigar (big plumes that I can play with) in both setting thou I found my throat and lungs tightening up a bit and if I played with the vape to much the top back of my mouth was burning.
I also found the flavours a bit lacking so after trying out so different flavours that my colleagues have and their set-ups, I jumped back on myepack and ordered myself a few new bits and pieces. I picked up a vision spinner and a couple of iclear 16b's, as good as the mvp is it is a bit of a pocket full and I wanted some a bit smaller as well as a back up. The iclear 16b's because that's want one of the others had and I did like the cooler vape. I also got some strawberry and menthol juice (both 12mg) the latter I have mixed about 70/30 with the veronica gold(18mg) which gives it a nice zing. I was never a big fan of menthol cigs but have been known to destroy a packet of mints and I really haven't been able to put it down since mixing it especially since my throat is no long closing or burning with it. So I’m thinking that maybe the 18mg nic content was a bit high. The strawberry flavour I have in the iclear 16b on the spinner and is proving to be yummy.
I haven't tried the menthol by itself other than when adding it to the v.gold in the iclear 30 I got a few mouthful of it because of must have been on the wicks it wasn't too bad but I don't think I’ll be puffing on it pure quite yet. The king of cigars(24mg) I vaped about half a tank of (iclear 30) and I really didn't like it that much so I think I’ll try mixing that with some menthol to see if at least the bottle won't go to waste.
I do have a question for the hive mind as well what do you guys do when trying and testing new flavours? When I change from the king of cigars to the cubano I just emptied out the tank and added the cubano in and vaped away but I imagine thats not the best way especially if tried vastly different flavours. I remember reading something about getting blank cartos and using them to try out new flavours but I can't seem to find the post again. I ask because I want to start ordering sample packs.
I didn't mean to write such a long post but it happens some times, but the good news is so far with the v.gold/menthol mix and the strawberry on the go I have smoked a lot less that usual today although the v.gold/menthol mix seems to be disappearing fast, which is better than the alternative. so hopefully i'm on the path to stopping smoking its just the habit and ritual I’ve gotta break, keeping an eye on the puff counter I seem to be averaging 10/15 puffs at a time and a few cheeky puffs here and there on both of the flavours. I have always been a bit of an idle hands smoker but since the new juices have come I finding that the cigs are starting to taste a bit bland and I’m reaching for the vapes more.

Easiest thing to use for testing flavours is a "Dripping atomiser" the Bauway 306 is highly regarded and pretty cheap. Hopefully someone will come along with a ink, there was an offer on for buy 2 and get a free drip tip (306 drip tips are different to standard 510). 3 atomisers and a drip tip inc P&P £9 HERE

Here we go 306 Drippers I think you have to buy 3 for the free drip tip. Don't put strong menthol, coffee or aniseed flavours in these because you'll never get rid of the taste!

Sounds like you are doing well blink You'll like the vape from the 306. People do tend to vape a lot when they start. Drink plenty of water.

Your doing really well blink. I use the 306 dripper linked but if swapping flavours in a tank wash out and change coil for a clean one while the first dries. With the MVP you have to choose to use either vv or vw it uses the last one set. I have an itaste vv/vw which works on the same principle but it's ego sized not a box and I set the watts then it adjusts automatically to whichever tank you use to give the same vape.

Hi Mate, sounds like you are doing well ! congrats !
Finding a flavour you like is the hardest thing, and your taste buds will be a bit knackered from smoking right now. A lot of people I know started on (insert some tobacco flavour) and found it didn't hit the spot, but mixed it with (any minty flavour) as you have done, so I think you are on the right track there.
Regarding having nicotine content, the only bad thing that can happen from having too much is that you get light headed / feel sick. Whereas if it's too low, you will get cravings and give up, so (in my opinion), use the highest you can away with.
Keep going with it, order some sample packs of flavours - I promise one day you will hit on the right combination !
