Hello all , started vaping about 4 weeks ago properly . Only having a cigarette when I first wake up ( why am I struggling so much with that early morning cig) , but can't complain as I was smoking 30 - 40 fags a day. I'm 36 and decided I really needed to do something to make my kids and non smoking missus proud of me ( they hated me smoking).
So I got ego-ce4 and some juice , not going to lie at first I was coughing my guts up trying to get used to and threw it on one side more than once . But I got there and now like I say i'm smoking only 1 fag a day. Only trouble is vaping is already becoming a bit of an obsession haha . I've already upgraded to a MVP 2 and ordered a load of stuff today to have a go at mixing my own juices.
Some of the terms Like dripping and some of the mods that people build and what everything is called is totally going over my head at the minute but i'll get there even if it kills me (hopefully my mixing won't haha) . Been watching loads of you tube videos as well to try and take some of it in.
Still not keen on taking my MVP 2 out with it's massive battery so will be looking for something more rounded like the ego but way way better , something i can change the voltage etc on . But I do love the MVP 2 when chilling in the house .
Peace and pleased to meet you

baggieboy999The cost does go down eventually, particularly if you mix your own. Took me about 9 months to break even though - but now I'm saving around £100/month compared to smoking & I was a roll-up guy & not as heavy a smoker as you. Anyway, if you want an out-and-about variable volt battery that is more like the ego, then the easiest thing to do is get a twist or spinner - which are the same as an ego but with a dial on the bottom to change the voltage. This, for example - but they come in various sizes, depending on how long you need it to last. They don't have a display to tell you stuff like how much battery life is left though - if you want that you are into something like an iTaste Mini VV/VW V3 - which I think is a bit pricey for an 800mah battery

thanks giles , yeah that vision spinner 1300 seems perfect for when out and about , would I just need that and a Innokin CE5 to go with it ? and any idea how long the battery would last on it? and the thing I like about the mvp 2 is it seems to create quite a lot of vapour and good throat hit at the same time , would that spinner be the same ?
Hope I make sense and sorry for all the questions

good morning and welcome baggieboy999 - I am also still learning all the terms and spending far too much money - but it's fun and I hope to break even soon as well

Welcome to you baggieboy999. We've an excellent Mixology section on the forum, with lots of helpful Members only too willingly to help. The pinned stickies are worth a read . . . and a play with our forum mixing calculator. allaboute-cigarettes.proboards.com/page/calculator+1 on a Spinner or Twist for out and about.

Welcome baggieboy999. Having had a spinner twist and itaste vv/vw v3. My vote goes to the itaste which I use daily (I have 2 one on charge and one in use) it is a pass through so you can use it while charging. I quickly got rid of the twist and spinner as they were too hard to read the vv. I use vw on the itaste which is more or less set and leave no messing around. It also has a resistance checker which is very handy when your attie is playing up. Mine are both 5 months old and going strong . Don't worry about the one ciggie in the morning it will come (probably) count the ciggies you don't have. You are doing very well good luck.

Hi baggieboy999 and a very warm from me too... Loads of great advice above, so all I will say is read as much of the Mixology board as you can and you'll be an expert mixer in no time... Don't be afraid to ask any questions, someone will always be around to help you out, we like helping fellow vapers

Hope I make sense and sorry for all the questions The spinner will certainly work with the CE5. Do you have the dual coil/Aspire version? If you have the old single coil design you might like to try it next time you get a clearo. Or maybe a protank, evod, or iclear - the iclear16 will go nicely on a spinner. The spinner only goes up to 4.2 volts. If you are using less than that on the MVP you will get the same vapour & throat hit as the MVP. If you are using more than 4.2 volts on the MVP then you may be able to still get the same throat hit and vapour on a spinner by using a lower resistance head in the CE5 (or in the others) if you don't already do so, but the low res heads will wear the spinner out faster. How long a battery lasts before needing to be recharged depends on the battery's mah (though quoted mah is not all that reliable, so it is only a rough guide). Your MVP is a notional 2600, so a 1300 spinner will last about half as long. The itaste mini would last less that a third the time. I'd have thought the 1300 would give you more than a tankfull of juice in a CE5 - maybe nearer two. Personally I go out with 2 charged-up 650mah spinners with a full evod on each.

Peace and pleased to meet you Hello and welcome Not that I'm trying to put you off spending more money and having more than adequate back-ups (I think I'd get kicked out if I did!), but you'll get used to carrying the MVP2 around. I've had mine a week and wasn't sure if I'd take it everywhere with me, but I have. Well almost everywhere, I didn't fancy my chances of not dropping it at a gig on Tuesday so I went into battle with an eGo. Try taking it out and about for a few days before ordering another battery, the worst that will happen is you'll get a lot of questions about it, it has been quite the conversation starter for me.
