Thanks @cornersruns I'll have a look when this tank is empty, I'm not too worried as it's the best vape I've had.

Update, so after my euphoria last night it's all gone down hill After a couple of hours the burnt taste reemerged but significantly stronger. On inspection the CW was badly burnt, my wife had the same issue with last week and I blamed here, oops. I've rewicked and coiled a couple of times today with same results. My juice is 50/50 with a 2 ohm microcoil and I'm only ay 8 watts so I'm a little stumped now. I've had some initial contact with Irfan through email tonight and I'll send him some pics of the channels.

It's weird Greg - I've been having exactly the same problem with mine over the past couple of weeks. I've had it since December, and usually had red Astaire in it (80/20) which has been fine. Recently I switched to VK juices which are 50/50 and I can't get the stuff to wick at all. I wouldn't mind but I can't get the RA taste out of my 3.1 clone despite scrubbing, and it turns out "red monkey Astaire jizz" is really disgusting.

Greg that is weird. My one will go happily firing it constantly for 30 - 45 seconds. It wicks perfectly down to the last 0.1 ml of juice. For this to happen for you on several but not on mine is strange. Maybe I was lucky and got the only good one. One thing I have heard is that even the smallest bit of cw or any other contamination in the channels will compromise wicking.

I have 2 of the Tobeco clones & have no problems wicking (micro coil / cotton wool) with 1.7 ohm coil 40pg/60vg liquids at 10 watts ionian Try soaking atomiser overnight in water with babys bottle sterilising tablet, works for me to rid strong tastes/smells

Greg had another thought these rely on low pressure created by sucking. If the seals aren't good it won't wick. Are your o rings OK. Are there any problems with the threads or seal surfaces. I always drip a little juice on the o rings before assembly as they can twist when screwing it together. Have you tried a suck test? Without juice cover the air hole andsuck through drip tip. It should be airtight.

I'm using 50/50 65/35 juices and its performing as it should , even with the chimney coil. Remove the screw which controls the air flow , see if that helps in anyway. If it still doesn't work you may have ended up with a bad batch, which would be very very very unlucky.

Received my Russian today from Hightectrading. So far so good setup with a 1.6ohm nano coil and cotton. Flavour is excellent, throat hit strong and vapour production is good.
Wick placement is different in these compared to a Kayfun, wick needs to be right above the juice well. It's also longer in height than the Kayfun, with a longer chimney. Deck is really good, but as with other clones the screws are too small for 0.3 kanthal (almost too small for 0.25 kanthal). The juice wells are massive, really deep and wide. This is why the wick has to be above them, really can't see wicking being a problem with this atty.
Looks wise, it's quite nice and is machined well. The threads however could be a lot better, but no real problems. The drip tip a screw on type, can't see how I could use my own drip tips even though the description in the site says you can.
All in all, it seems like a great bit of kit and gives a stonking vape. It's early days, but if any issues arise I'll report back to you all.

The drip tip a screw on type, can't see how I could use my own drip tips even though the description in the site says you can. The Kayfun's and the Russians came with a screw in adapter to take a 510 drip tip, as well as the screw in drip tip. If you can get one of those it might fit so you can use a 510 tip. I can't see why the Kayfun had this screw in drip tip, especially as it came with the adapter so it wasn't for price. The Russian copied that idea as well

Going to buy a kayfun or another Russian 91% by kebo. Threads too crunchy , became a wrestling match too dismantle. Not gutted , had my first venture into world of clones, I saw, I tried, I prefer the real deal. No harm , no foul.

My threads are a little crunchy too, wish that was the only issue I found if you place the supplied Allen key (long end) in the air flow Allen screw this makes it a diddle to loosen the base from the tank. Tried the chimney coil tonight, no burning yet but vapour is pants !
