Lovely kit and on my wish list although would prefer a bigger battery. I think of a vv battery (variable voltage) like a volume control on flavour and battery life. I would prefer to have two batteries though.

Gosh I realise I must sound so dumb here but am a bit confused...people say for example itaste v3 with mini protank....what does it mean 'with' ...are these not two totally different devices which are both ecigs? Also when I look at started kits they come with it says coil head resistence ?.? Ohm.....does it matter what ohm they are or can these be changed to any ohm after I have it? The ecig is one part of what you need. iTaste3 is a type of ecig. Then you need a 'tank' to put the liquid into. 5 iclear tanks come with the kit I've linked. They're plastic but a few juices are known for cracking plastic tanks. The mini protank I linked is a glass tank. That will take any juice without cracking which is why everyone is suggesting one of those as well. Ohms are something I'm still getting to grips with myself, but that's to do with the 'coils' inside the tank that help to heat your juice. Standard ohms for coils would be 1.8 - 2.0 or thereabouts. I have some of both type and haven't really noticed a difference between them.

chickapea - most of all you don't sound dumb - we all asked and ask questions - this is one of the things the forum is for the itaste is the battery - the bottom part - the protank is on top - you can use the itaste or any other battery with a huge variety of tops - and vice versa - but you need both I love the protanks - all of them - also the fact that they have a glass tube - some juices are not too good in plastic I charge my mini itaste with my kindle charger ask as much as you need edit : newdawn - you were quicker

Also can you get a wall charger with these as not always near a usb port? Most modern phone chargers will charge the iTaste for you. I have a spare wall charger I'll happily send to you free of charge if your phone charger isn't one of them.

Coil head resistance ohms is simply put is about heat to the liquid. You can try different ones to see what you prefer when you buy more heads.

These suggestions are all really good stuff chickapea, I think that some of us newbies over think these things when we start. But as a newbie myself, I can assure you 100% that it is really can be as simple or as complicated as you want. For example I should have done the same as you and joined this forum first. I just walked into a shop one day and put myself in their hands and paid out a lot more than I should have. But I have moved up to a more advanced mod within the first six weeks. Follow the guys on here advice, and you will soon wonder why you were so worried. Welcome to the forum.

Not for me, I'm afraid. That'll be another moment of stupendous "honest" (NOT) marketing.

Wouldn't be the one I'd go for either, but it's up to you at the end of the day.

Wouldn't be the one I'd go for either, but it's up to you at the end of the day. Holy Mackerel. I've just spotted. It's ONE battery with a throwaway "CE5-type". You can upgrade to a double kit... improved value... but..... GULP. - - Just to say, it is not a genuine VV battery. It is a 3-click offering 3 levels of power. The lowest will be as much use as vaping on a tea bag. The middle will be normal. The top will be a burn-fest for the liquid.

From reading other discussions on here im just worried about getting a powerful enough battery to do me for nearly a full day if its possible but yet staying away from the box type battery... I think it is difficult to gauge how much battery you will use until you start vaping. This will depend on life style, you can vape in places you wouldn't/couldn't smoke. What is your budget for setting up? Are you interested in the variable voltage (vv)style batteries that were listed above? I wasn't 3 weeks ago but now would now like an itaste vv as spare battery. I wanted to give it a fair chance but not spend too much so I went for the evod starter kit. I now know I LOVE *very happy*vaping and will add special shiny stuff icon_shoppingtimewhen funds allow.

Im going to 2nd the Itaste VV V3.0 starter kit - myepack.co.uk/kits/itaste-vv-v3-o.htmlThis gives you a great and well reviewed and thought of VV battery, 5 x iClear16 dual coil clearomisers which will last you ages and a USB charger. All you would need after this is liquid and a USB plug charger so you can charge from a socket (you can use any.....you might have one? We use our Ipad one). If you want a 2nd battery to use while that one charges you could get myepack.co.uk/batteries/vision-spinner-1300-mah.html which has a longer battery life (1300mah compared with the 800mah on the Itaste). This will work on the USB charger you get with the starter pack. If I had to start again this is what I would choose....simple start..dont confuse yourself with the massive range of Clearomisers available yet. Good luck.
