Hello everyone. Vigo Womble here, a Newbie from Kent.
I’ve been lurking on here for a few days and as everyone seems so nice I thought I’d better introduce myself. I’ve been vaping for 19 days now, having smoked rollies for 30 years. I did intend to slowly cut down on the rollies until I could finally give them up, but since the postie delivered my kit I’ve not touched one, not even a last ceremonial smoke! The only problem is I’ve still got 10 x 50mg packs of Golden Virginia sitting in a cupboard.
I have found myself involuntarily wandering over to the patio doors where I used to go outside to smoke and having to turn round.
I did do a bit of research before I bought anything and ended up with an MVP2 that came with two iclear 16s, a Protank 2 and also five cheap CE4 type clearomisers as I wanted to try quite a few different juices. Really pleased with everything, but the CE4s are rather temperamental so I'll be looking for some replacements, fairly cheap but better quality. Any suggestions gratefully received. I’ve already started mixing my own juice so I think you could say I’ve already got the bug!
About three days in I did get a really bad sore throat and accompanying earache that lasted about 4 days, is this common with a lot of new vapers, and should I try lowering the PG? I’m mixing at 50/50 at the moment. I’m sure I’ll have a load more questions so I’d better stop now. Cheers.

Hello vigowomble - It's nice to see another vaper from west kent, I've not found many others! It sounds like you're well away with some nice kit. I'm sure many people will recommend all sorts of the latest clearos to you, and with good reason - there are some great alternatives out there - but if you like the iclear16 I'd get a few more as it saves having to have a load of different spare coils. I can't advise on PG sensitivity as I'm fortunate that I can vape pretty much everything. What flavours are you mixing?

Welcome vigowombleNo problem. I'll swap you. 10 x 50mg of Golden Virginia under my bed. There is an e-liquid called Kent. (I don't know why I mentioned that..)

Hello and welcome Make sure you drink enough because dehydration can cause a sore throat with me. I need to drink much more than I did before ecigs. The mini protank may be worth looking at too.

Hi ionian. Whereabouts in Kent are you? I'll be spreading the gospel around to anyone who wants to listen so there might be a few more Kent vapers soon. I haven't spotted any vaping shops around, have you? Thanks for the advice on the 16s. That's a good point. I've only been mixing basic flavours at the moment, all using Inawera concentrates. Lime, mint mix, jamaican rum, cappucino, caramel and blackcurrant. I started off with premixes from Vaping Vision , 6 various tobacco flavours, super mint, coffee, black cherry, raspberry and rum. No where near finding an "all day vape" I seem to change flavours every half hour which is why I've got so many clearos, I've had to resort to little sticky labels to remind me whats in each.

Welcome to you vigowomble. You've got off to a cracking start with the kit you've bought! It's not uncommon for many new vapers to have a sore throat initially, you may find altering your inhaling technique could help. Try holding the vapour in your mouth for a few seconds, before inhaling it down.

Hi djs. Glad I'm not the only one with a mountain of baccy left. I think I'll have to sell it to fund this vaping habit. All my baccy comes from Belgium so I was only spending about £7 a week. Can already see vaping is going to cost a lot more.....

Hi Clivia. Thanks for the welcome. That's a really great price for those mini protanks isn't it. I'll certainly add those to my wish list, which is ever growing! Only lack of money is stopping me. I know they'll take a while to arrive from China, do they take the payment straight away or when they despatch?
