Hello again. After giving up the cigs for 18 months I started to vape on an E Lite, I noticed they made my face flushed and gave me headaches. I then bought a vip Jacvapour starter kit and ordered some 11mg VG juice (not sure how much PG is in with this juice, although I think there is some). I found the PG juice was giving me headaches and that burning sore throat, so I have been trying the VG, good result on the headaches, they are down to mild, but my throat now feels almost like I have tonsilitus. Like that lump in throat, sore throat (if you know what I mean). I am just getting over a virus and am now wondering if its the virus coming back or if its the VG liquid (I thought VG was meant to be better for the throat). I have also felt very tired and not right in myself. Has anyone experience this lump in throat type thing and has it got better with 100% VG. I don't think my juice is 100% VG. I have just stupidly ordered 18mg PG juice (big bottle) so I am now getting fed up with money going down the drain. Wondering whether to get some 100% pure "good quality" VG juice to try. Any advice appreciated.

Are you drinking plenty of water? I noticed I had to drink far more than I normally did and still get a sore throat if I don't.

Or you might consider toddling off to your GP for a bit of a check up, particularly if you have fallen foul of a virus already..

I'd also suggest a Doctor's appointment could be in order . . . as well as maybe altering your inhaling technique, try taking a couple of small chugs, then holding the vapour in your mouth for a few seconds before inhaling it down.
Rather than taking one big drag as you would with a ciggy.

Didn't see this at first so a trip to the doctor is a good idea!

Thanks Guys but its not the virus. I held out and had nothing from yesterday afternoon and the throat has gone off. I read a load of stuff online of people having this closing up lump in throat sore throat (like tonsilitus) with the E cigs. I cant work out whether its an allergic reaction or what but people are getting it with certain juices and not others, some say its the PG but I got worse on the VG. I want to get some pure 100% VG juice UK made, can anyone tell me the best place to get this? By the way, can anyone shed any light on where all this stuff comes from? It looks like most of it comes from China (even though bits are made in the USA or UK etc.)

There's nothing wrong with eliquid manufactured by a good Chinese supplier, or with liquid mixed in the UK using ingredients from such suppliers. People like Dekang use proper sterile labs. You can find pictures on-line if you want. But if you want to find a liquid that doesn't come from there, you can - check out this link for UK/EU, www.e-cigarette-forum.com/forum/general-e-liquid-reviews/64698-basic-usa-made-vg-liquid-made-exclusively-cignot.html for USA I'd say it was worth trying pure a VG juice. I used NUCIG juice when I had a cold until I started mixing (but don't get anything else from them). Don't throw away the PG juice - you may well find that after a while you can vape it OK. But do drink lots of water. All the symptoms you list can be caused by too much nicotine, and water does help.
