Hi,
I'm very new to vaping, as in under a week, I know there are a millions and one threads about vaping and I'm slowly accumulating knowledge but I al ready have a problem that I'm not sure is my or the equipment.
Bought myself an X6, which is the durable piece of kit I was looking for but I have a Kangertech Protank 2 and it seems to leak a lot of liquid at the connector to the battery and at the drip tip. I have seen people having issues but it might just be I don't know what I am doing. I have been looking at alternatives such as Nova Tank or IClear 30 in case it is an issue with the battery and tank being uncompatable.
Thanks for read and hope someone can help.

Welcome zerosphere - I am a rookie too and am not familiar with the combo you have.... Just wanted to say you've come to the right place! I'm sure someone who knows their stuff will be along shortly to assist

Welcome to you zerosphere. Your X6 ought to be compatible with anything 510/Ego threaded . . . have you checked that everything is put together properly on the Protank? Is your eliquid quite runny/high PG content - that can also cause leakage in some of these bottom coil clearo's.

Hi and zerosphere , th main thing is don't give up it's probably something quite easy to fix, I have 4 mini protanks on the go 3 kanger and 1 other, you should always take them apart for a clean when you get them and that's useful cos you get to know how they are put together (they're not complicated honest) It might be the head, the bit hat screws into the bit that screws into the bit that screws on the battery is loose, that would cause leaking onto the battery. Overfilling might cause leakage at the drip tip, never fill more than about 3mm below the centre post as that is the airway to the drip tip. They are good attys maybe look at iclear 16's as an alternative if you acan't get on with the protanks - good luck and happy vaping

Hi zerosphere and . I'm also fairly new to vaping and have a Protank 2 (but on an MVP2). For the first few days all I seemed to get was gurgling and leaking. I thought I was going to have to bulk buy kitchen towel! Eventually I decided to change out the head that came with it for one of the pack of 5 spares I bought at the same time. Haven't looked back, no leaking at all. Oh, and don't let the tank get too empty. Just a suggestion. Hope this helps.

zerosphereI can't see that the X6 would have anything to do with the leaking, unless maybe it is making you suck on it too hard - is it really hard work to draw on? You could try a different head in the protank, but I suspect you have a bad protank. These days I think people would suggest some form of Iclear 30 rather than a Nova. I used to use (& abuse) Novas a lot. They didn't leak unless you turned them upside down, in which case they often did.

Greetings and zerosphereSome folks like others not so in respect of Protank range. If you are losing juice, then please do consider this. Any BCC is basical a hollow tube with a wick stopper. If the wick/coil assembly don't do the job efficiently, unvaporated juice will escape from where ever it can. Stock heads do tend to be hit and miss as they are mass produced. This is the reason most folks prefer to recoil/rewick (that way you get exactly what you want.) As for leakage from the driptip, 1. make sure O rings are in place. 2. do not overfill / take care when filling and avoid centre tube. 3.if both the above are OK, it can be a case of condensation (the curse of BCC) your drawing too much juice because of an inefficient wick assembly. Hope this helps.
