Just about to pay for a nemmy clone with a kick . but the stumbling block is the batteries . Been told i should go for protected ones ? i plan to use a protank 2 with a 2.2 or even 1.8 ohm head . I have been linked with torchys site , but i just do not know which battery i should pick ? Nipple top or flat top . I like it short and stubby so will prob got for 18350 mode, but then i have been told it wont be able to be kicked then ? im now utterly confused

Unprotected, flat tops from Torchy will be just fine, and Nems can be kicked with any size of battery.
Protected batteries may be too fat, having an extra layer of heatshrink around them, but I don't know that they'd be too fat for the Nemesis, specifically - but with a kick, protected batteries would be unnecessary, anyway.

Because the kick sits inside the tube it reduces the space available for the battery by about 15mm. So to use an 18350 battery you'll need the 18500 tube

nipple and flat top will work in a nemmy clone. I don't know if the kick makes any difference to that.
The fact that you will be using a kick should mean that you don't need protected batteries as it has it's own inbuilt protection. I would suggest you go for safer chemistry IMR batteries though.
You can kick with an 18350, 18500 and 18650 in a nemmy clone but it won't be as short as it could be without a kick.

Don't nemesis have a kick ring to add the required length to any size? Or is that just genuine ones?

They're both the same battery I think, it's just how people list them and yes to the coils
The nemmy has a kick ring amongst all the various bits

I use Torchy's & Efest 18500 Flat Top IMRs in my Nemi clone normally, but have used 18350s and 18650s. Started off using them kicked, but as my confidence has grown, don't bother with the kick at all now. It is just a matter of working out which combination of tubes +/- kick ring is best for the size of battery. If using 18350s try using the smallest tube with the extra kick ring or just the 18500 tube.

I read somewhere on here recently that at least one of his batteries won't fit.... but the post now..sorry. Do you ever go on ukvapers forum? he is on there and I've asked him directly via pm about some battery stuff, he answers relatively quickly and really knows his stuff. You can get a discount on his batteries there too. Not sure if you'll be able to see this if not logged in but this is his profile page where you can PM him if you want... ukvapers.org/User-Torchythebatteryboy

Im excited , slightly nervous , but looking forward to having the nemmy clone finally after drooling over them for so long hehe! my other half just rolled her eyes at me as she doesnt get why i have gone to something that is similar to a simple ego battery if im not going to sub ohm etc

Combined with Sony batteries I've got on order should be minimal voltage drop, possibly allowing for higher ohm coils and longer battery life..... But god knows if I'll actually notice even if does show a difference with tankometer. Sent from my HTC Sensation Z710e using proboards
