Last week poor Kev was sending me bottles of his Caramel RY4 and just getting complaints off me that it tasted like Phenol - no caramel and no RY4.

I ordered some Dekang Caramel and RY4 from Jason - 30ml bottles too - and they tasted like Phenol too.

Kev sent me some Caramel & Hazelnut - I got the hazel bit; but it doesn't go well with Phenol!

Jason sent me a Griz pick 'n mix with a variety of flavours - the 666 is just awesome, and the Caramel Cappuccino is fantastic - though I don't get the Caramel at all - just real strong coffee grounds, which I love; it just makes me feel like I've been hit by a train after about 15 minutes!

It would appear that I can't taste Caramel, Toffee or Butterscotch at all, just a real sickly sweat phenol-y aftertaste at the back of the throat.

The wifes awesome Cow pie still tastes like Cow pie - just moreso now I've been off the weed for a while.

But the taster buddies are letting me down on the vaping front for sure.

Has anyone else had this problem and if so how long did it last - it's driving me bloody nuts > >

I have a problem with clove, it tastes and smells like mold to me. Even if there is only a bit of clove in an e-juice flavor, it still tastes like mold to me.

Ohhhh Jerry - I've had a problem with cloves since I was little - awful tasting stuff!

What a shame Andy, Caramel/Butterscotch & Toffee are my 3 most favourite flavours in the universe . . . but you might find in a while once your taste buds settle down, that you are able to enjoy them. . . hope so as they're delish.

It's anything nutty I have a problem with, just tastes like stewed socks to me.

I used to call it dead dog, Perpy - it's the only flavour I've ever really tasted, except James's Aftershock

I think my tasters have been irreversibly killed (is killing ever reversible?)

I had a similar problem one evening, last week I think it was, almost went back to smoking rollies again. All my e cig liquids tasted horrible, even my favourite, RY4 caramel. I just stopped vaping for that evening and by the next day, it was fine again. Tonight, I'm not getting much flavour when I vape and keep topping up to no avail.

I'm wondering if it's possibly something we eat during the day that changes the taste of the juice ???

Everything I eat and drink tastes right Anne, it's just when I vape - and now it's got even worse - I can't taste very much in Jasons Caramel Cappuccino or 666 any more - yet this time last week they were brilliant....

I just vape away and try to ignore that it doesn't taste of anything.

WELL! Having said that, I just topped up a carto that has had Liberty Flights RY4 in it - one of the most tasteless juices I've had, and that's saying a lot! - with Health Cabin Caramel Butter, and it tastes to me like coconut with rancid butter in it But I shall soldier on

It's great seeing people's different interpretations of the flavours.

It just shows how massively different our taste buds are. Or maybe it's the differing amounts of damage we've done to them over the years.

The time of day makes a difference to what I can taste or not as well Jason . . . first thing in the morning I could be vaping cardboard for all the flavour I get from any juice . . . it's better come the afternoon though.

I'm still suffering with buds not working properly .. and I'm 9 months in .. still get the urge for an analogue on a regular basis .. think I've just found my best all day vape with Griz's apple tabac .. although that may change again next week


Edit : I occasionally like the whiskey cream and banoffee but I don't get it all the time .. I sure wish my buds would wake up to vaping full time
