Mr Dolly rang the lettings manager as my throat is so sore I can barely speak. The guy swears blind he was told by the housing association that all properties were wheelchair access. He has gone away to investigate and has promised to phone back. When he was told about the other woman in the wheelchair adapted flat, he told us that the woman used to live there before and wanted to go back to the same place. Mr Dolly then pointed out that if that was the case, why the hell did they go to all the extra expense to make it wheelchair adapted when they knew damn well it would not be given to someone who needed it!! He had no answer for that, so I guess we just have to wait.

Can't get hold of my support worker yet as she's coming to work later than usual today.

OMG! Now, I am not going to get too excited, BUT, just had a phone call from the housing association saying that someone has dropped out of going to live there (either they are nuts, or they are telling porkies and just changed allocations around) they say this one is much bigger than the first one we viewed and is very similar to the one we liked!

I am refusing to get excited. Looking at the building floor plans, it looks like the biggest one bedroom place they have, but I will wait till I see it. At least we have a second chance and I am keeping everything crossed. Just waiting for a phone call to tell when we can go see it.

Please keep everything crossed for us. I so, so, want to live there.

Just got the nod to go look at it.

Being so unwell is at least curbing any excitement. I do admit I am confident this time as it appears to be the largest flat on the floor plans apart from a two bedroom one. We shall see....

Just wish I could muster the energy to get dressed. Not a good look going in my grubby old nightie and slippers!

Guess what?... It's fantastic!! Even nicer than the other lady's place! So much more space and really wide doors. I took some pics of the kitchen and bathroom.
We even have an open plan dining area at the other end of the kitchen which neither of the other two had. It's in the last photo
We go do the paperwork and sign tenancy on Tuesday. I am soooooo relieved.
