Dolly have you got a shed at the new place? Nope! But I have decided that if seniorphil won't dig out a man cave in the woods next door, I will just have to lock him in the wheelchair room Raffles I think I would have locked her in there after doing that. What a mean old bint!

Where are you with it all now Jason? Any further developments? Five further emails to them = No replies About ten phone calls to them = The person we need to speak to is always busy and does not phone us back as per requested The only good news is i have more room in my bedroom due to all cupboards took apart so it gives me more room to make more box mods, but even that comes with a price........The dining room where my P.C is like a storage room, already tripped/fell over things just trying to get out Keep at it. It really infuriates me when people won't return calls.cthing is though, I bet they get pestered a lot every day. I would keep popping down there. It's harder to fob someone off if they are cincture building.

Sorry Dolly, only just seen this update. So pleased for you both I wish you every happiness there Thanks Buddha Been out window shopping again this morning. Mr D is none too pleased. I announced last night that because our new home has a very modern and contempory feel, I am not happy with our current furniture. He had an air of despair look on his face at the shops. I was very good though. Didn't buy a thing......... Yet!!

'can't you get a washer/dryer cheaper than that?' and this is all before our written offer has been accepted He's been told to be constructive or button it Part of the problem is him not working just now. The house was always my domain and so long as I didn't get us into debt I could do what I liked. I really resent his interference. We had a huge row the other night cause I was throwing a suitcase out. He'd better watch it or he'll end up in one

Yep, maybe we can find a large shed to lock them in together. Then they can whinge away to their hearts content. He has already been warned that I will NOT tolerate his 50,000 miles of cables and wires trailing about the new place! There will be no more chucking keys, letters and other junk onto tables and counters. They have no sense of style or continuity either do they? As you saw in the photos, this new place is very contemporary. It is only natural that a 8 setting oval mahogany dining table with classic style chairs will not suit!! Fine for a house like this, but not a flat like that. Bloody hell, it's not rocket science! I am even prepared to compromise and buy secondhand on fleabay as long as it's good quality. You'd think I had just blown garlic breath in his face by the reaction!

I swear by eBay my back room furniture is via it, you get some great bargains as its collect only I reckon your new place would suit light oak or beech as it keeps a room feeling light and airy, mahogany probably isn't the best with it being dark wood and you probably will need to downsize on furniture proportions!

Thank you very much pep. I have emailed your reply on to him I totally agree with you. There are great bargains to be had. We obviously have similar tastes as I have been watching three dining sets, all in the very same colours you mentioned. Two light oak, but third is glass, but not sure about that one. As the kitchen diner is open plan and kitchen tiling is browns and cream, I am thinking of dark brown leather dining chairs. I want to add a big colour pop with appliances kettle, toaster etc. can't decide between green or copper colours.

glass - looks certainly great - only problem you see every tiny piece of dust on it and you are constantly cleaning them - we had once a sofa table of glass - if you have glasses - just think of them how often you need to clean them - oak is always nice green in the kitchen would look great - but that's just me as I love green - we have kettle and bread tin in a nice red - just wished the toaster would go - but as it's working fine I can't justify a new one in matching colours
