Hello everyone. Just starting back up with vaping after a failed attempt 2 years ago. Hopefully I'll be more successful this time. Currently vaping on a mix of mint tobacco and choc mint and finding it quiet nice and more importantly it's satisfying my addiction. I am using ego batteries with clearomisers, Kanger evod and t3s. The latter 2 I'm not familiar with. I'm finding the evod quite an airy draw. Do you think I could tape off 1 or 2 of the wee air holes? I'm liking the bottom coil as I don't need to tip them up. I also have a wee atomiser to drip/ test liquids before I fill a clearo. Any advice would be much appreciated. thanks

Hi rednutt and to the forum. Try a tiny bit of bluetac in one of the air holes, that should be less intrusive that some tape

Hi Candle wax is also good for filling the holes. I also find evods way to airy, I would suggest trying an iclear16. It is a dual top coil. I know that a couple of years ago it was normal to have to tip top coils to get them to wick, those days are thankfully in the past You can vape with an iclear exactly the same as with an evod, except imo the vape is far superior

hi and welcome rednutt and all the best for you new attempt - with us crazy bunch here you will be successful maybe in the future you can invest in a protank 2 and buy an additional airflow controler - that's my favourite tank - I can have more in the evening and less in the morning - also a variable voltage/wattage battery is helping and for example the itaste vv is not that expensive

Thanks for the advice. Don't have bluetac but plenty candles about the place. Do I just drip a bit on it or just scrape a bit up and push it in? I'm going to check out the iclear16. Can I ask what's the major differences between a dual bottom and a dual top coil? ( apart from ones at the top and ones at the bottom haha)

Clivia I have no clue what you just said haha but I will research it. I did get the variable voltage though as I have an ego twist but lost it. Couldn't see the wee numbers at the bottom anyway so never had a clue what's voltage I was vaping at.

Most people prefer either top coil or bottom. I'm guessing since you aren't loving the evod then you are going to be a top kinda person, but only trying will tell.
Just scrape a candle over the hole, it can take a few tries but its easy

Dragon I think your right. I'm an on top kinda gal . I just plugged one hole with candle wax and it was still airy so I did a second one and it's kinda tight. I'm thinking the flavour isn't as good which is strange because I read reviews which said it was meant to be better. Maybe I'm just a fussy git.

rednutt - ok that's the protank 2 and that's the air flow controler -the protanks are bottom coil tanks - as dragon wrote it's a thin of trying out - tastes are different - the aerotank is a dual bottom coil tank which comes with an airflow controler - to be honest when it comes to vaping I don't notice a difference bewteen the single and the dual coil - and it's good to be fuzzy - it helps you easier to decide what you want

I never found the flavour good on evods, and just resigned myself to the fact I'm awkward

Welcome to you rednutt. I love Evods . . . the good thing is now 2 years on that there are so many great options to choose from, something for every vapers taste.
