dos and donts tips please

back now.
ive just put 4 needle drops on the top and it didnt really take them.
it seems just great i am on a new carto but the battery is not due to be changed till about 7pm so i suppose its not getting its full $%^£ till i put the fully charged one on.
very happy with with it but i was a little surprised that it wasnt 2 full tanks ie only one set of caps.
i was half hoping to cut down the big daddy and have a reserve ready to bang on as one is empty, but heh ho........NO i wont be doing that LOL.
trouble with me at my age i still think great things cost tenner and good things costz a fiver with the rest coming in at 10p to 50p ???
looks well neat though and part of the device.
overall very happy.

Ive just changed over to the big daddy tank,using a DCC in it.Fantastic vape at between 4.5-5.5v.I tried 6v but the driptip is getting way to hot for my likings Great versatile system,i would never cut the big daddy down as its handy for the bigger cartomisers.So easy to use,i will be ordering another set when they are back instock.

I have the liquinator which is virtually identical to the big daddy and I got a smaller tube so that I now have lil liquinator but I still got one of these sets ??? Im becomming Ian

i just seemed to have hit a burnt spot so i assume the juice isnt getting through as good as i thought.
ive sucked without firing up and now all seems fine.
is there any other method?

That hole looks plenty big enough? the carto may have had a dry spot when it was filled, taking a few puffs without power is the answer. Either that or you're vaping faster than the juice can get in there

thanks blakey i thought id read that somewhere.
i dont vape that heavily about 25ml a week but i think this method will use a bit more but at the minute the enjoyment is 10 fold better compared to atty and cart.
much happier with my vaping situation than i have been at any time before.

one thing ive not heard mentioned so i suppose it is irrelevant but here goes.
when you randomly pop the hole in the carto should you not consider putting it on your device first and look too see where the low point will be or even consider where the low point will be when put down.
will the lowest point stop a air getting trapped causing an all but temporary block hence causing hot spots.
im sure peeps get what i mean, or am i really over thinking it.

I find that making the hole 8-9mm up the cartomiser(excluding threads)leaves the hole perfectly at the bottom of the tank.I just drip into the carto until a drop of juice leaks from the connection,wipe the excess with a tissue,add carto to tank and fill up the tank.I make my hole 1mm with a nail and ive never hit a dry spot ever using this system with PG juices.In saying that my recent batch of Boges seem to be packed with more filler than usual and the draw is very tight.Ive had to get a small needle in and poke a few holes in the filler which seems to have done the trick.Its just trial and error to start with like all this vaping game :)Once you get familiar with it you will soon have it perfected.

Sorry Raggy that didnt really answer your question.You will soon have the carto tanks perfected,took me a while to get it bang on but practice makes perfect.I will try and get a picture on of my hole and where it sits in the tank so you can see better.

yes gordy it really is as good as everyone has said, im very impressed.
i had a few beers last night and it was the first time i can remember really enjoying a vape and a beer together.

as usual my post didnt explain what it was meant to ask.
read my post again but when im talking about the hole and where to put it i mean where on the circumference of the carto not the length.
if the hole when you vape is constantly at the top of the device and you draw could this cause an air trap then dry spots.
whereas if you put the carto on the device and mark where the low point is when you draw/vape would this not be better.
with the ggtb or any side button device i use/push the button in the same place all the time ie: my button is always on the left of my device when pushed so i can make sure the hole is always in the deepest part of the juice.
i have not done this yet but just wondering if it could be or contribute too dry spots.
this would only be when the tank is around a third full.
and as i said earlier it is probably totally irrelevant and makes no difference at all.

Raggy, you posted a pic of the hole that you made and It's fine, as an Idea for you- when you make the hole on a new carto, put the rubber condom back on to cover the hole then fill it with a griz whiz, If you don't have one of them then try putting a bit of tape over the hole and filling the carto using the condom method before you put it in the tank.
Or just simply do what you have been doing but give a few long hard puffs without power on the first fill untill you can taste the juice. As Ian said, It's just a learning curve and you will soon master what works for you.

what i did was punch the hole then put it in the condom.
what i didnt do was leave it in the condom for 30 mins which is what i normally do when just using a carto.
just recently ive been pre filling for upto half a day, as soon as the one im using even hints that it is wimping or getting a tight draw i pre fill one, yesterday i was in a bit of a rush and i dont think i pre filled with enough juice and not for long enough.
but all is well now.

do lr cartos run the batts down quicker than lr attys?.

i really cant believe how much i like this way of vaping, just fill it up and your set for hours without faffing, wiping, dripping, etc etc.
two mins or less to refill and your off again.
i cant believe ive not done this before now.

LR carto's and LR atties will take the same amount of power mate, eg. if they are both rated at 1.6ohms then they will both take power at the same rate to run them.
