> Not sure if vaping is working for me - it's now been 2 weeks I have headaches , eye aches , itching skin on my face , one of my teeth has snapped in half , and my enamel feels tingly. I have also developed some lumps on my body. Pretty sure that its the vape juice , and I'm gonna have to quit as from now. Had a analogue , and it tasted good - with no side effects. I'm only on 5/6 a day (more on a night out) , and that suits me fine - this vape stuff is too dangerous !!!

That sounds very much like a PG intolerance/allergy Rav.
PG is Propylene Glycol and it's found in a lot/most e-liquids.
Perhaps trying an all VG liquid would be worth a go to see if your problems alleviate.

Aww thats a shame Rav maybe as Jason's says you can try VG liquid before you really decide to quit vaping?

I actually did a fair bit of looking into this because a friend of mine suffered from sensitive teeth, hives and a few other things when he started vaping. I switched his e-liquid from 80/20 PG/VG to 90/10 VG/PG and all was well within a few weeks. The problem with a lot of the supposed 100%VG liquids is that they aren't, because a lot of flavourings are carried in PG.

Aaaawww Rav that sounds terrible. Maybe give it a rest for a little while then have another go with the mostly vg juice that Jason recomended ? Of course you can always stick with analogues if u want to, just figured there was a reason you would rather vape instead seeign as you gave it ago.

Agrees with Jason, it does sound like a PG intolerance/allergy Rav Please don't give up & instead try Jason's suggestions of higher VG based juices.

Hmm sounds highly unusal when you think of how many vapers we have on this forum alone.
Also, it might have been a good idea to have stopped vaping as soon as you started having these problems, or at least flagged the problem early, then people could've tried to help.
Where have you been buying your juice from? & could you have come into contact with something else non e-cig related?

That's the first time I've heard of an allergy to vaping as well for ex smokers. I've heard of teenagers who start vaping but have never smoked who've had problems, but that's to be expected. I suppose it's like anything in life really, people have nut and other allergies, so there's going to be some who develop an allergy to e liquid ingredients.

I hadn't smoked for 2.5 years when I started vaping as an alternative to picking up the old anologes again. I did have a few issues to begin with, tight chest, dry skin. I found when I started to mix my juice with VG things have improved no end. 2 months on I now have no problems thankfully. I hope you find a solution, let us know how you get on? Nats X

My body can be a bit finicky Anything can set me off itching, hives, dry sore skin etc So when I stopped the fags and started vaping I was expecting something to happen, I got very itchy on my neck, it got pretty nasty, inflamed, but a few weeks later it went, the only thing I keep getting is an uncomfortable bloating just under my ribs, I am not sure if I am still taking in to much air when I vape, or I am drinking to much or both.

It may be due to withdrawal symptons too. When i gave up with nicotine patches i had similar problems. We are addicted to the chemicals in baccy, not just nicotine. The chemicals kill any bacteria in our mouths, gums, skin etc, hence spots, sore mouth, toothache etc.I was almost grieving for ciggies, they play a big part in your life and you are always aware of something missing. The Ecigs replace the nicotine, hand to mouth habit, and the inhale exhale addiction.Stands to reason that each of us will react differently to the need/want/yearning of other chemicals that we cant replace.Lots of us will sail through the withdrawal.some of us will struggle. The only thing i would say is try again when you are ready, you will be more prepared next time.Good luck.

Good points, Netty Very sorry this has happened to you, Rav Thankfully you are not a heavy smoker, but Jason's suggestion sounds like the way to go before you give up on vaping altogether. Wishing you better! scylla

I think a big problem with E-cigs is the sheer amount of E-liquid combinations. Vg/PG/PEG - combined with different flavourings. It's not surprising the various intolerances you hear about. I'm in the food industry, and have to cater for different allergies on a more regular basis than I've ever had to. It's becoming more common. An aversion to E-liquid can be likened to a food intolerance. some folks will be ok, others will have side effects. Try a different E-liquid combo, hell, try 10, find 1 that does agree with you. But you gotta want to do it.
