Glad things are going smooth for you Karma. We're in the process of informing everyone after finding out royal mail's international redirect costs £129 for 3 - 6 months Meanwhile...been in contact with an Ohio dog kennel about looking after our dogs while we're on honeymoon. This was their reply - "Hi Dawn and Jack ~ As of now we do have cabins available on those dates, though we cannot make a reservation until we have interviewed your dogs." INTERVIEW our dogs?! Good grief. Only in America...

Phoenix . this is the longest I've stayed in a house since I was a child. Been here 11 years and I'm a bit of a hoarder. So, if I can do it, so can you. I'm really starting to feel like I'm getting somewhere now I know I could do it, but I have COPD and no Mr Karma to help me Unfortunately Mr K isn't very well at the moment DS has been good though, when he can fit me into his hectic social life. My son in law is a star, but I hate to ask too much cause he works 6 days a week!

It really is mentally exhausting as well as physically isn't it? We have been here 6 weeks now and I am only just beginning to settle down. On a brighter note, I love this place so much I feel I have been here forever, and the biggest fun has been trawling eBay for great bargains to feather my new nest. It's unbelievable what you can pick up on there. As you probably know, when you move into a new home much of the furniture and stuff you have just doesn't go right in the new place. I have managed to sell off old stuff and replace with "new" things at a fraction of what it would cost to buy from retailers. My best bargain so far is a £1800 LazyBoy leather reclining sofa barely sat on as woman's husband bought it and left her 6weeks later. I got it for £380!!! Don't wear yourself out too much K. Take time to sit and enjoy your new surroundings.

I set my searches up for auctions ending soonest and pick out things I like that no one has bid on. Last week I got a floor to ceiling bathroom storage unit for £10. I also got oneof those bins that you don't have to touch. It opens on it's own when you walk up to it. I saw a large one in a shop for £100 a few weeks ago ( what idiot would pay that for a bin??!!) mine cost £5! it's becoming an obsession though.

Things have been a wee bit stressful in our camp lately, even though I don't have to pack anything.
We were planning a small wedding with just a handful of close friends and immediate family because we didn't want to spend on a huge affair. Figured we'd rather put our money towards a nice honeymoon and the new house over there. A small garden wedding sounded perfect.
Next thing I know, mom's decided the extended family has to come too and says not to worry, they'll pay for having it at a proper venue. That's when I said, in that case I had a few friends (8) I'd left out for lack of space. With that, they decided the same...but their additional list was a lot more than 8 and they asked what our budget was. OUR budget? By then we'd already booked and paid for the majority of the honeymoon.
Suddenly they want to know how much we're putting towards the wedding so they can decide how many friends they're inviting. Marv. We got fed up and said we're paying for the lot and not to worry about it. Was best thing to do to stop the very definitely aggro that was brewing between everyone. And with that, good game to about 8k for the wedding that grew from a small garden affair into a full job with 100+ people...which we're paying for. Sighhhhhhhhhh
On the plus side, we've one hell of a honeymoon planned! Starting with 5 nights in San Diego before heading to Santa Monica for one night. We're getting lunch and a free private tour of Fox Studios in LA thanks to an old high school friend who's high up the ranks there. Then it's on to Santa Barbara, Cayucos & Monterey - stopping for two nights in each location. And last but not least, 5 nights in San Francisco. If we'd known we were paying for the wedding, we'd have either stuck to garden ceremony or not booked such an elaborate honeymoon, but it's done now so may as well enjoy it.

Blownupdolly He preferred the old place as it was nearer the bus stop to the city and nearer his GF's newdawn weddings are terrible for causing family strife. My DD got married 2 years ago and it was such a stressful time. Your honeymoon sounds fab though x
