Got a kayfun 3.1 clone from vapour break and i'm struggling to fill it, I have tried the smallest diameter syringe needle i have and I can feel like a small ball valve moving but it wont fill is there a special tool i need to fill it. Also I have some 0.28 kanthal will making the coils bigger from 2 to 3 mm lessen the resistance so I can get more coils.

You can damage the fill valve with a metal needle. You need a luer lock plastic needle tip. If you mean make the diametre of the coil bigger then the resistance will be higher boy lower as your using more wire. If you mean by bigger thicker wire but same diametre then yes you will reduce the resistance.

Now you clarified the opening post with an edit, no going from 2 to 3mm coil diametre will increase the resistance.

Ten wraps of .32mm micro coil and that's giving me 1.2 ohms Look up chimney coil on youtube, it's excellent If you only have thinner wire though you can just wrap less more spaced out coils on silica, three or four wraps does the trick for fairly low ohms. No idea on the fill hole though but you can hold a finger over the air hole and fill it from the top, just pop the top section off. Keep your finger over the air hole though till it's all back together

Or twist 2 lengths of .20 kanthal together, and do 6 wraps of it onto the same diameter as a cotton bud stick. (not sure of size as thats what i use) 1.6 ohms, and use with cotton. Coil will last forever, just replace the cotton every few tanks. Super economical. Got 3 kayfun set up like that. Vape heaven.

I'd just ignore trying to use the filling hole .... I've always just top filled mine ... You can still get a lot of juice in but you don't risk ruining the filling valve causing it to be permanently open

Something to consider: everyone b*tches about filling the 3.1s and jamming the things, so over engineered, IMHO. Shock horror! There's the KF Lite If you have a 3.1 you're happy vaping with you might consider getting a cheapo Lite and just steal the base off it, for instance: KF Lite in Matte from FT is £9.92 but you could get the PMMA one for £7.62 and throw away the plastic leaving you a steel base to swap out your 3.1 base. I'm doing the same with my gold plate Trident: busted the centre pin and just buying a PMMA version for the base
