does anyone have any idea what might help get this off, have let it sit in hot water then tried didnt work, put on the good old pink fluffy marygolds didnt work, i know its reverse threading but just aint budging at all

put it on the freezer for 5 mins and then try again ... (you are using the GP Fork right?)

Try it in the freezer for half an hour geordie_vaper otherwise tag whoever you bought it from or one of the other Spheroid owners.

It's a job and a half taking the base cap off for the first time. I used a rubber band to grip the section with the GP on it, put the fork in the holes of the base, twisted opposite to normal (reverse threading) and swore...A LOT!

Yeah get it in the freezer. Then if you need to, wrap a rubber band around part of it to protect it then get the pliers on it, hold it with rubber gloves then pliers it.

It's reverse threaded? I wonder if the same is true of the Gus. I've tried everything to get that bugger off, and it sounds like I've just been tightening it

I swear they are called 'gripper something?!' a great pair of rubber strips, with grooves in, on a key-ring fob? so you can wrap around those evil stainless steel connections. Am sure they were about £5 and hand made by a forum member
