I tried to make a microcoil today, it came out at 4.2ohm Not sure how on earth I managed that but I think I need more practice at it lol. Decided to just coil them normally and swapped the silica for cotton wool, it's amazing what a difference the cotton wool makes!

You need something like .25 or .3

You're gonna need some thicker wire .... Chunkier the wire .. Lower the resistance is

You could always double it and twist it while waiting on new wire

Maybe even thicker depending what ohms you're aiming for, I think I use .32mm on the ladies evod coils, maybe 10 wraps on a 14 gauge needle (1.6mm), comes out just right. I generally stick with .32 or .34 for micros now.
As said too though you could twists the .2, Take a foot of it, double it up, twist the two loose ends then clamp them in pliers or that, stick something through the loop at the other end and twists till it's nice and tightly wound. That will basically half the ohms.

collie2011 if your aiming for around 2 ohms stick with .025 or .3 If you want to go around 1.0 ohm then an enjoy says go .32 or bigger. You can twist two lengths of 0.2 to get the same effect but given your just starting out on your oiling journey maybe best to leave that until later. Nothing lost if want to try but it's a bit harder than using thicker wire for sure.

Trying to get between 1.5 and 1.2. It's ok, I'll just order some new wire and get various thicknesses, always good to have a few in Sent from my Nexus 7 using proboards

Tried doing it with some wire I had in my box and got nearly 5 ohms I bought some 0.3 and they all come out perfectly now every time
