I must be the only person who doesn't like the taste of a cotton wool Wick, is theythere an alternative or should I stick to silica? I use both but if i had to choose i think i'd stick with silica, doesn't matter which you use, whichever you think tastes best is the right choice.

Please can those who use rebuilable atomizers help with some questions I have? What is the benefit of having one? Easier to rebuild, no rubber grommets on deck so you can build a coil, and fire it up to set it( no need for blowtorch), made to be taken apart so very easy to take out old wicks and dry burn coil ( coils will last ages as a result), flavour and vape quality is on a different level to pro tanks ( and yes I was a serious protank rebuilder / lover), airflow control much better. Are they better or easier than say rebuilding a protank? Hell yes, the building decks and screws give plenty of space. Can they be as good on flavour as a dual coil but with a single coil? I only use single coil never had flavour issues ( but this depends on how you wick and coil it). I must be the only person who doesn't like the taste of a cotton wool Wick, is theythere an alternative or should I stick to silica? Bamboo wool is all I use ( look up bamboo wool vaping uk and it should point you to the same company I use) can't for the life of me remember the name. Cotton is just as awesome so your wicks could be too fat . Where can I get an El cheapo one in the UK? As above , so many uk vendors the world is your oyster . If you have made it this far TIA x

The whole what wick is best thing seems to change for me depending on what I'm using, I'll use everything from cotton, silica, ekowool, mesh or wire rope and get different success rates in different atties. I normally use cotton in the kayfun but wanted to try out another build using silica, can't say I notice a huge difference in taste and then I've got stainless mesh in the dripper and it tastes fine lol.
All I would say is don't write any of them off to soon and see how it goes when you get an rba, you'll soon figure out what suits you.

A huge thanks to all for your knowledge and information, I think the kayfun is the one I am edging towards but the version with the airflow controller (got used to using one on the pt3) the video was excellent for a newbie such as me. Only thing I got to decide now is do I order one instead of the new aerotank as I can't afford both!

Yeah, go on, it'll move you into a whole new league!! We'll help you out if you get stuck, which isn't likely, and you'll be glad you did. Think how chuffed you'll be when you vape on your first microcoil - it's a great feeling, and a great taste too!

Kayfun lite plus or russian 91, both the same more or less and are both rather awesome but I may be biased lol.

all add my 2p, for a new person getting into rbas a kayfun clone is deffinatly a good place to start, BUT i would suggest a taifun gt because if you make your build and you have any issues with the build you can unscrew the top section from the build section, without have to empty the e liquid out, tinker with your build screw it back together and away you go with a kayfun you would need to have a synringe with you to suck up the juice, not that you shoukd have any issues but just a thought

Thank you will look into the one you mention as well. Taking the leap in a week or two so not rushing too much as don't want to end up with something I can't use

Oh, how important is the airflow controller part on the kayfun, how is it in comparison to day something like the pt3?

On the normal kayfun(without adjustable) the air flow is just right for me and many others from the reviews ive watched. But would be better if i had the kayfun plus+ with adjustable airflow just incase i have a juice that very thin or very thick (thick juice id use a tighter draw,"sucking more juice into the chamber as its thick"also preventing dry burny hits) (Thin juice i would have it a more open draw"sucking less juice into the chamber cus its thin" also preventing flooding)

Taifun GT s are different they dont have airflow controllers but do have changable air tubes which are in 3 sizes. But has the bonus of using mesh, silica, cotton micro coil, you name it even that filler stuff. I would say this is kind of the next step after the kayfun s (if your going to use mesh) and mesh does change the flavor of a juice alot in some cases.
