Nicotine Test Kit

Anyone know of a UK based vendor that sells the nicotine test kit. ECW used to stock it but no longer do so. Or where to get Bromthymol Blue and .12N Sulphuric Acid (0.12%}
Have done a search for the kits and came across Puffin eliquids but oos, sent them a email asking when back in but no reply yet. Also came across eliquidtest but in the USA
As to the Bromthymol Blue and .12N Sulphuric Acid easy if you live in USA but unless you have a trade account and want large amounts in UK, nada

Would have thought with the number of home mixers this would be readily available from UK vendors selling mixing supplies

In all honesty it's something I've never contemplated buying robdelmar . . . and could be why ECW have discontinued stocking it.

I believe Ignorance is bliss in this particular issue unless it is to market e-liquids or as a scientific experiment.

Any number of lab chemical suppliers will do both as they are widely used. But if you are looking for convenience:

Thanks Perpetua but wanted to check the nic level of the starting nic base and the level after doing a mix to see if I get as expected. A bit ocd I know but more to do with curiosity.

Also thanks maccafan as you say ignorance is bliss but unfortunately I have a curious nature, (forever taking things apart to see how they work, have done so since a kid, wish I still had my chemistry set, sure it had brom blue and a weak sulphuric acid solution for doing ph tests,used to make some cracking stink bombs tho )As to the link, have seen that and I think is linked to eliquidtest, postage to UK is twice the price of the kit tho, why I asked if anyone knew of a UK supplier

Each to their own I guess robdelmar, it seems like an unnecessary faff and expense to me, but then my mind isn't of the enquiring persuasion with anything. If it works/doesn't break, then that's enough to keep me happy.

Replying as a Vendor....
There is not enough customer demand to warrant holding a stock of such a product.
If you purchase a quality UK Nic Base, the Nic Batch Assay will be far more accurate than whatever result you obtain from a home test kit.
Providing you use a good calculator (like ejuicemeup) correctly, the resulting levels should be spot on.

just like to share this info have been buying nic base from various suppliers for quite some time now and have had a few occasions were the nic has been less than expected. This prompted me to track down a nic test kit which has proved to be a valuable tool which I would recommend to anyone who is stocking up on nic base.  The company in question is OxfordChemServe.com.

£9.90 + £3 P&P seems small price to pay for piece of mind. We don't know for sure that what manufacturers claim to be in liquids is the truth. With a few few people testing we will soon flush out the rogues, having people home testing will keep them on there toes too.
With the murky world of a blackmarket we'll have no guarantee at all ,with big money to be made by "cutting" eliquid or base. As with the drugs blackmarket the "dealers" main concern will be profit and quality control will soon go out the window.
I for one am getting my practice in early.

P.s they sell nice pestle and mortars too.

It's about time we as consumers of this product wised up to what we are actually receiving from our suppliers. I have recently had to send back 500ml 72mg nic back to one of the popular places you are obtaining nic base from because it only tested between 39mg/ ml and 41mg/ml.

Name and shame them, I will be naming every under or over strength I find. I can't wait to test some market stall premade juice, but also the bigger brands will be interesting.
