Mix your own eliquid if you're looking to make economies on eliquid @tubthumper . . . once you've done the initial outlay, then it really is very cost effective. Other than one rather disappointing purchase, I've not bought any eliquid for the best part of 3 years now. I've started doing my own mixes for that very reason.

Is it just me who finds £3+ for a bottle of juice too expensive. Depends what it is. Let's face it.... out there in "non-forum-land" people think £4.99 is THE price for liquid. They spend this without question. Some of the shysters out there are charging £5.99 or even £6.99. One Vendor likes to charge £8.50 for 10ml Dekang. One day, when I'm done with Vaping, it will start to even out. It'll become like coffee. Nobody would walk into Tesco and pay £7 for a small Nescafe jar. t.b.h. the whole thing drives me mad. I have no issue, whatsoever, with any liquid at any price if it's quality niche stuff. I bought 30ml last month for £5.70. Some rip-off "brands" will get their customers to part with £15-£20 for that.... because "it's cheaper than smoking".... Google is out there, people should bl***** use it. It's a joke. One "make" of e-liquid costs 26p per 10ml to manufacture. The company charge £6.99 and people just pay it. There's a few shops around here who sell the cigaliles or the ego starter kits. They come with one 600mah battery and one ce4 clero and they're charging £55 for that. Plus £8 for 10ml of dekang eliquid. When I asked why it was so expensive she said its cheaper than smoking. To which I replied. Not for everyone. £8 would have done me for a week smoking. 10ml of Julie will last 3 days tops. They take advantage of the fact people don't know any better. Just like PC world years ago when nobody had a single idea about building their own PC's. I always build my own and was often astounded at the prices the likes of PC world charged. Fast forward to now their prices are a lot more in line with online sellers and in some cases you couldn't build your own for cheaper. As with all things. People will learn and prices will drop.

I love coiling, I love my mechs and rebuildables, but I just can't get into mixing. I've got all the gear to do it, a few concentrates, but it just doesn't appeal. So I spend money on pre-mixed juice from various places, particularly vaping king (3.50 for 10mls, with discounts on larger amounts). Once a month I do a bulk order, spend about £30, get a couple of big bottles of stuff I like and a few smaller ones to try them out. I don't feel that's a lot of money to spend - it's still cheaper than my tobacco costs even though I was a relatively light rollie smoker.
There are plenty of places out there that sell good reasonably priced juice - none that sell at joosejuice prices, but then again I find a lot of that stuff lacking in the flavour department. Shop around, look at the vendor lists, read the reviews on the forum and make use of the discount codes. You don't have to hunt for one flavour - there are so many good ones out there!

I also think vendors who decide their juice is 'premium' and can then charge more for it are a little to blame too. I tried 3 digbys juices last week. They have a premium price tag of £5.50 for 10ml. And are billed as premium juices. I'd seen a few reviews and the flavours are something I like so ordered (from vapour z. Their discount code brought the price down). Have to say they're in now way premium juice. The flavours are weak at best and one was just downright rank. So how they've managed to call themselves premium and thus can command a premium price is beyond me. What makes a juice premium? Why can a vendor just decide their juice is premium and deserves a higher price tag? Surely it should be up to the buyers to decide that?

But the happy medium I've found is to by plain 50/50 PG//VG at the strength I want (24mg) then I just add flavour concentrate .... Totally unscientific ... I use Red Astaire conc at 20% for example .. 20 ml plain juice 5 ml concentrate shake it up job done ..!... Brings the Nic content down a tad to just but it works for me .... It's much cheaper than buying premixed stuff

Before i started vaping i smoked 100gm of tobbacco which i got from a guy in the pub for £14.00. I vape around 30ml a week. If i was buying 3x10ml at £5.00 a pop i would be spending more money than when i was smoking plus i would still have to fork out for extra vaping supplies.

I get my e-juice from E-Liquid World (Hangsen Old Hoby "Ancient") as I like that flavour. All their 10ml bottles are now £3.79, and 30ml bottles now £8.99. Delivery was free on the last two orders, and I got it within 2 days. A 30ml bottle lasts me around a month, so I'm not complaining.

Me and the Mr used to smoke a large and a medium bag of baccy between us in a week. So about £20-25 a week. We spend about £20 a week on vaping (mainly me with shinyitis and buying new concentrates to try), for us it's more about not smoking anymore (although the Mr still duel fuels). Some weeks though, we don't spend anything, it has just happened for us that a lot of stuff has needed replacing at once > Sent from my Nexus 7 using proboards

I was thinking about t-shirts today... Nice political vaping t shirts... And this subject crossed my mind when I was thinking about supermarkets (who, if regulation means only the big boys survive, will be where the limited nice range is sold) I had in mind personal use component costs... But then I realised by doing that I would be messing up B&M shops (which we vapers will need if err we are not to be forced to a black market). And then I thought to myself... worst case, form a co-op to import 10ml of 19mg/ml unflavored liquid and sell as close to cost as possible with mix inductions, just to mess up the supermarkets and regulatory testing per flavour offer batch... I'm rambling now (gets his hat)
No act of kindness, however small, is ever wasted

I dont mind paying a little extra for the right liquids.....I have tried so many, mixed a few but still have a huge passion for a handful of premade, in my eyes its whatever works to keep us off the stinkies, its now a hobby of sorts....I wish I could make mine just like a certain brand I like...but alas it is not meant to be .. Hubby mixed his own for awhile but he also has gone onto mainly 2 premade ones....again dont mind paying.

Just opinion in reply to OP.
£3 OK for 50 ml of run of the ml decent juice or maybe 30 ml top notch juice, that's what I feel after mixing for over a year. But that's to low for producers and retailers to make a living so probably halve those to get what I feel is a fair price excluding delivery. Also its fair that innovators charge a premium.
The one that makes my blood boil was E-Lites £4 for 1 ml in a carto, 1 ml of 24 mg costs me 5.5 p.

And why should you if it doesn't appeal is my thinking ionian . . . we've all enough stuff that we have to do, that probably doesn't bring much pleasure. So any leisure time ought to be spent doing things that bring us some form of satisfaction, whatever that might be.
