i was just wondering how much i could expect to sell some items for.
i have: 1 x gold mk1 SD 1 x black mk1 SD 1 x mk2 black SD 1 x mk2 black SD with a broken atty spring. 1 x mk2 silver SD this just stopped, no idea what is wrong with it.
all need to be treated as used and non refundable, so therefore im probably looking for a modder of sorts who will make them ship shape and sell them on.
ideally i would like to sell them as one sale, i realise this would be less than individually. im not really looking for offers at this point just an idea what they might sell for individually or as a package. then i want a new device, still dont know what yet but something along the lines of the GG type or at least something that is just cleanable and not reliant on circuitry.

I'd be happy to pay up to about £15 inc P&P for a working SD Raggy, if that's any use to you.
Maybe a tenner each for the non working ones?
Edit to say: I've modified your thread title Raggy, as you may get more interest with Screwdriver in the title . . . hope that was ok.

the reason i want to sell them as a package is that the buyer will know the sd and if there not working as expected they will know what to do to make sure there working to there best before selling them on. i really dont like selling second hand stuff as it can cause bad feeling if it dont do what the buyer expects. the black mk1 was my wifes and was hardly used really, maybe 6 weeks. the gold was mine and was only used intermittently with the various mk2s. the working mk2 had maybe 3 months use before moving on to the ggtb. i know im a bad salesman but i do find them problematic for various reasons which experienced users will know, when running right there great but then there are bad days you will clean the threads and all the other palaver then it still wont work as it should, then all of sudden its great again. i know this is bad sales talk but thats really why id rather a buyer that knows what he is getting.

Not bad sales raggy, just the truth, the screwdriver is for "enthusiasts", someone who is capable and willing to do a bit of tinkering to keep it going. Not for a newbie who may not be technically minded/fully up to speed on all this bumph, his/her main priority is getting off the fags whilst worrying if all this kit they have just spent hard earned on is going to work for them. They need something rock solid simple and dependable thats going to get them through the tough first few weeks or so, not something as temperamental as a screwdriver thats going to have them dissapointed, frustrated and reaching for the gaspers. Your honesty and concern is refreshing... JMHO :-) Scoot...

I can't entirely agree to be honest Scooter, sorry . . . whilst the ones that Raggy has been honest enough to say need some attention . . . the working ones would make a great first inexpensive mod for someone looking to upgrade from say a Riva.
They're the first mod that many of us had, admittedly the choice wasn't as extensive as it is today, obtaining a SD was quite a job back then, Trog couldn't keep up with demand and they sold for £100 on Ebay, in the days when ecig sales were permitted.
I bought a DSE905 after the DSE901, mainly because I hadn't found the forum nor the Screwdriver site at that time.
As soon as I did, I bought one and still use it occasionally now, the couple of small drawbacks I've ever really found is making sure you keep the bottom button screwed up as it has a habit of unscrewing itself and loosening off the atomiser a couple of turns so it doesn't activate in your pocket/purse.
Other than that, they're pretty faff free, batteries are cheap and Trog despite his crusty forum persona offers a unconditional repair service from what I've seen, even on the MKII which is retailed through TW and not him directly.

P... I did say "newbie" I'm sure this is raggies concern and is commendable, anyone prepared to move onto a mod I wouldn't consider a literal "newbie". They would and should have learned by now this hobby requires considerable back-up, with supermarkets and petrol stations open 24/7 (yes, I have cycled at three in the morning in the pissing rain to buy fags during a futile "cold turkey" attempt!) it is too easy to turn back to the gaspers in desperation and frustration. I've no doubt the screwdriver was the bee's knee's back in the day, and when working is still a neat little mod, Trog will go down in the history books for it. With all respect, I do know what I am talking about as I bought a MKII as a newbie, I'm a salesmans dream :-) I'm also an engineer so tinkering did not concern me, however, the adapter supplied when I purchased was put together wrong, when built correctly needed constant adjusting from atty to atty and I figured there was only so many times I would be able to stretch the spring back to make contact with the battery before it broke or there was a burn out behind the inaccessible circuit board, rendering it useless, leaving me without a vape. On holiday with no chance of supplies, my back-up ego passthru also curled it's toes up, entirely my fault as I had dropped it. But..... I knew I was onto something, this worked! I was luvin' it and had absolutley no cravings for a gasper, indeed the thought disgusted me and for the 24Hrs-36Hrs or so downtime I actually missed the vaping and flavours, not the fags :-) So I swore this would never happen again, on my return I shelled out on various back-ups with varying success, always always making sure I had something in reserve, I'm still doing it. It's money, but what price your health? Over 4 months in now and there's still not a single day I don't thank to goodness I found vaping, I feel great, I feel proud of myself. I'll never be one of those "born again" smokers/moaners as I sympathise with the addiction and cravings, but the smell now on peoples clothes etc disgusts me, it's soooo strong and foul! The screwdriver is still working with a little tinkering, I just gave it to my dad, his eyes glazed over half way through me explaining all he had to do to keep it going, I'm pretty sure it'll be in a drawer somewhere by now ;-) He has 5 little ciggie lookalike batteries, a bunch of 501 Carts and a bottle of the Bat's Golden Virginia, if he looks like he's making a go of it I'll move him up to the big boy stuff. So I'm not having a go at the screwdriver, I just think it has it's place same as raggy, it'll be forever part of my learning journey and for that I'm eternaly grateful. Sermon over...can you tell I'm bored at work :-) :-)

As someone who used to make the sd, my estimations would be
working mkI sd's £10 - £12
working mkII sd £12- £15
broken mkII sd's £8 - £10 (depending on amount of repair needed)

chillax, it's not my intention to scare anyone, I was just unlucky, there are many many thousands of users happy, by now you may know your way around the screwdriver to tinker with it should it become temperamental and have all the peeps on here that would jump in to advise should it be needed, enjoy :-)

My SDII is now in it's dotage - the chrome is beginning to wear away so I've plastered it in clear nail lacquer! It's still working as well as ever so, although expensive for what it is, it was a good 'investment' when compared with the regular 901/401/510 models that had such a lousy battery life. If my SD does pack up, I shall certainly get another. Fox

The MarkI Screwdriver was/is a brilliant concept and design - comfortable, reliable, cheap to run, and even has a lanyard hole for me I would recommend it to any "almost-newbie", or even a complete newbie if they were the confident type, at £20 second-hand. All they'd need is some 3.7v batteries, charger, juice and atties to drip it into (for simplicity, otherwise cartos/clearos/etc), and driptips. That would keep them going ad infinitum with the odd new spring or button, I reckon. scylla x
