Hi @alopezg1 and a very warm from me too As the others have said, yes, you will see a big improvement with a better device. My suggestion would be an itaste vv starter kit. This is a mini usb passthrough, so you can still use it at your computer whilst it's charging. It comes with 5 iclear 16s which look like a CE4, but have dual coils so they will give you a much improved vape as well. I found the first couple of months the hardest and did have the odd ciggie during that time. If you do find the cravings that bad, have a ciggie, don't beat yourself up over it, count the ciggies you don't have. After a few months you will find the cravings get less and less and much easier to get over. The other thing to remember is that you can't get snus here in the Uk, so if you are relying on it, you might have to think about your options. Good luck, and keep asking questions, we're here to help

Lairey thankyou. I hope it does get better . I just recieved two new i clear clearomisers in the post today and i have been using them and am much more satisfied so maybe it does have something to do with the performance of the device . That starter kit does look good . I had a bit of a snoop around on that site ... i was wondering if i buy a posh tank like the nautilus do i have to make my own coil for it ? i don't think i want to get into making coils just yet , but it does look pretty cool , that tank. I also heard its good to have highest Mah , whatever that is . There are some vision spinners on the site that have 1600 mah as opposed to 800 , i don't really know what Mah means though and if it really is all that important. Also i am using iclear 16's now i think and they are very good when i have a fresh head on . You can get snus in the UK . It is illegal to sell but not to posses , so you can order it via e-mail from certain websites , but have a very limited choice. I like snus but it is not even close to be enough to stop me smoking. I tried just using snus for a couple of months and it was a bit of a nightmare . I like to use it alternatley with vaping though when i just fancy it , more often than not though the vaping wins out . Thankyou for all your help

@alopezg1 - Mah (milliamp/hour) ratings refer to the amount of charge a battery takes, and therefore how long it will last between charges. I doesn't make any difference to the power output, but only the holding capacity. I would also suggest you look at the Myepack Spinner 2; this is Variable Voltage, so you can adjust the power to suit your juice and mood, and with 1600mah should last you a full day with ease. That and the iClear16s that you are using should be a significant improvement on your present setup. Where in Cornwall are you? As you can see from my avatar, in in Kernow too! Perhaps we could meet up sometime and I could show you what I use, a Caravela mech mod with a Russian or Kayfun on top - it's a great vape!!

I'd suggest a vamo. You'd need batteries and a charger. All found on myepack. My vamo is my workhorse and has never failed me

Being able to adjust the watts or voltage does make a lot of difference. I started with an ego 650mah but upgraded after the first month to the itaste vv which I use in wattage mode. With these you adjust to your personal taste and I use them on a low wattage but most people use a higher wattage I prefer a bottom coil clearo too so use protank mini 2's. As you already have iclear 16's you could just buy the battery and charger which are available on the same site. I was a heavy smoker at least 20 or 30 a day for more than 50 years and started by dual fuelling but dropped the cigarettes after 3 days as I preferred the taste of the vape. I never intended to stop smoking it just happened I think you have to not put yourself under any pressure and a lot of people have found that giving in to the urge to smoke has worked to stop completely as they found it such a disgusting taste compared to their vape. Count the cigarettes you don't have not the ones you do. Good luck with it all.

bit of self pitty there , but i am feeling sorry for myself and this seems like a good to vent it You vent away. I am surprised you are struggling. 6-7 roll-ups should be easily covered even with some basic e-cig kit. However, an upgrade is always worth it.

@alopezg1 Hi there I just wanted to say how much I appreciate your candour about the difficulties you're experiencing. I know all about anxiety and depression, I've been a sufferer for years and I know full well how easy it can be for stuff to get on top of you. It's hard enough to give up smoking for most folk, but add difficulties such as these into the mix and it can turn into a real nightmare. I see you're looking for practical solutions to your difficulties with the actual vaping, and I'll leave others who are much better qualified and experienced on here to advise you there. I've found that the people here really do know what they're talking about and can offer excellent guidance with such things so you've come to the right place for that! So firstly, kudos for seeking that help! I have undying admiration for anyone who's actually given up analogues and my heart always goes out to those who are trying and not quite cracked it yet. I guess fall into the latter category too. IMO it's perfectly natural, especially for people with these illnesses, to feel a bit sorry for ourselves at times and get down about it all. We can tend to beat ourselves up over things that have a bit of a learning curve or that we need practice at if they don't go right for us. When that happens to me, what I try to do is take a wee step back take a deep breath, and just take the pressure off myself if I can. If I'm frustrated and fed up that I can't seem to manage the things others are achieving, well... I just let myself feel that way, accept that today's not the day it's gonna happen for me, have a bit of a grump, and leave it be. Because tomorrow's another day. Next week might be different. Nothing ever lasts forever, bad times included and we're always in a state of flux. I think sometimes we tend to expect too much of ourselves too quickly. I get soooo impatient when I can't get things right straight away, let alone something that can take a while to get the hang of - or indeed something that is like a journey, as this seems to be, that has steps and different challenges to negotiate along the way. We can forget to look back and see how far we've already come. So with all that in mind, well done you, for having gone without the cigs you already have! Well done for the attempts! Well done for having the will to give it a go so many times and for keeping trying when you've fallen short of where you want to eventually be. Well done for weathering those stumbles! That takes guts! Take heart from that. Give yourself a break and a bit of love. It's tough to do what you're trying to do. Softly softly catchey monkey. All the best, MissT

Dj's thanks. I don't know , those 6 or 7 cigarettes are ver very important to me apparently! but you know i think it's more of the relationship you have with the ciggies ( oranything that you're addicted to) rather than the amount you use that determines how difficult it will be to severe ties. And thanks as well Misst, although i thought depression was a fairly standard reaction to coming off the smokes . I have anxiety issues which can result in panick attacks sometimes and definitley stopping smoking can exacerbate this problem , but i didn't have that problem when i started vaping because i didn't really feel like i normally have when trying to give up before . I felt comfortable but then it sort of shifted. Having said that i have had a much better day today . The new clearomisers have made a world of difference and that WTA liquid i said wasn't making a shits worth of difference, well it turns out it does ! if you r equipment is working that is , its really quite wonderful stuff.

Ahh I see! My bad - for me the depression and anxiety go hand in hand and always have, so I forget they can be separate things aswell. You're most probably right tho about depression being a common side effect to stopping. You'd never guess it from the peeps here tho! I think you may be onto something there, about the relationship you have to whatever you're addicted to making a difference. I'm hoping against hope that my anxiety doesn't get too bad again as a result of stopping as it can make me really quite ill. That's why I'm taking it so slow. So glad you're having a better day anyway! Btw, what's WTA liquid? ???
