I also second the Evod kit - everything you need to get you started except from the juice and for the money it's a quality bit of kit. I used something similar but very overpriced... Then I found this place and my knowledge of what I was actually looking for and how/where to get it grew rapidly thanks to the time and advice of friendly members. I acquired an Evod battery and clearomiser separately (same setup as the recommended kit will be) and although having moved on to other tanks, it is a cracking vape. I too used a vapestick years ago after my mum gave up using it and gave it to me. I still had it when I got my kit and it had sat gathering dust for about 2 years. Anyhow I charged it for use just once and must say from personal experience, the vape from an ego/Evod style set up is miles closer to a cigarette. The vapestick got binned after 1 use (considered donating but it was falling to bits and batteries were useless). Wow what a ramble. I guess what I'm trying to say is just move on from the vapestick ASAP, no need to wait. Buying it wasnt a waste of money if it led you to this forum. Stay on the case of finding something that works for you, make it an immediate aim and you will quickly find what you are looking for. There is a bit of trial and error involved but everyone who has been there will help you along the way. Once you find what works it's all sweet and if you are determined there's no going back. In 3 days time I'll have avoided over 1000 cigs

Babs, thanks for your advice, can you explain to me what are protank mimis and also vv v, it sounds like science fiction, oh bye the way I have sent for the Evod starter kit, I'm keeping everything crossed I receive it today, (Wed) just had to put the vaperstick on charge again after only about 3 hours of vaping, as soon as myestarter kit arrives I'm flinging the vapestick. Jamesrd.

It's just a more advanced kit jamesrd. The protank mini 2's are a Pyrex clearo very like the evod but you don't need to worry about tank cracking juices. The itaste vv/vw is a battery that can have the power used adjusted which can affect the flavour and vapour. Vv = variable voltage Vw = variable wattage. As you have already ordered the evod kit don't worry about it just yet enjoy the kit you have ordered until you feel you would like to upgrade. The evod kit will work perfectly well and will keep you off the cigs. Best of luck.

Jamesrd. Good news jamesrdYou'll get the hang of it. - - Thinking about earlier in the thread - you said you were surprised the refill ran out of liquid so soon.... after 4 days... 4 days? They do about 150-200 puffs normally.

I can't even begin to imagine how that cartridge tasted after 4 days of use from a recent starter. Ewwww.
And welcome from me too!

Hi all, I eventually figured out how to put my new evod all together and vape it, (my old brain has lost a lot of cells and it takes along time to figure things out), never mind I got there in the end, the only problem I have now is the instructions states that when the battery is charging it will turn red and then green but mine is blue, can you explain that please, and also why when I inhale on it, it crackles. Thank god for all you vapers. Jamesrd.

The charger (not the battery) starts off red, then goes green when fully charged. Don't worry about the crackling that's just the liquid "popping" on a new wick. It will ease off after a few puffs.

jamesrd Before you charge the battery, have you checked it is "switched off by clicking it off first(click it rapidly five times, the button which you use to vape). Which vendor did you purchase it from? Is it still charging though?

I will try.......... jamesrd if the battery is not fully charged and you plug the battery in the charger the charger light will be red for charging and will change too green when fully charged. As for the battery light that will more than likely stay a blue color, that is just telling you it is connected to the charger, the only light you should be looking at is the charger lights. Once the charger light is green the battery is fully charged.

Jamesrd
