Hi Everyone - Just joined up as I have decided to enter the world of vaping and will have questions sooner or later Done a fair bit of research online and have ordered up a pro tank mini starter kit (only one battery - yes I know lol) and a couple of juice's I went for this as I was looking for a decent cheap entry kit to see how I get on. Usually smoke amber leaf roll ups with a filter and only around 10 (average) a day. Picked a VA Blend (tobacco) and a menthol both at 12 mg, probably a bit weak but I can just vape it a bit more often ?
Stuff should be here soon and then the questions will begin ! lol.
Anyway - Hello everyone (That's the point of this post in case you were wondering)

the mini protank kit is a great entry level kit, glad you stayed away from the cigalikes etc. If your only a 10 a day roll up smoker then 12mg may suit you. I was 20 a day roll ups started on 18mg and quickly decended to 12mg.

charliehorseWelcome to aaec. I too was a roll up smoker! Glad you have decided to give vaping a go. One battery will certainly be an issue if you switch to an electronic cig full time but see how you go. Nice quality gear to be starting with though! This really is the friendliest forum around, everyone here has helped me on my journey so far. Anything you need to ask, no matter how silly it seems, just ask! Usually someone can help or point you to someone that can. Hope to see you around the boards

hi and welcome charliehorse - congratulations on your decission to enter the wonderful vaping adventure - just get the next bottle at 18mg - don't bother at what strength you are - best not too low at the beginning - it's not the nicotine, which is harmful - it's everything else and yes as said above don't buy too much tobacco flavour your taste might change , mine did and that of many in here did

charliehorse - welcome to the forum Juice choice is a very personal thing; we all like different things. You have had some good suggestions above, but it might be worth looking at JooseJuice, T-Juice and The Alchemist's Cupboard for some more 'off-the-wall' flavours which you may well like more than you think. Get a good range of different flavours, and keep us posted with your progress

A hello and a welcome from me too. I quit smoking in Dec. last year and have not looked back. I was getting through about 20 cig's plus GV tobacco a day, and started off with 18mg bottles of juice as advised by the chap when I bought my starter kit. I have dropped down to around 0, 6 and 12mg strengths depending on what is in stock. I stayed away from tobacco flavours as I figured if I was going to give up tobacco then I wanted to use different flavours instead. I have bought quite a lot of various fruit flavours in my quest to find a flavour I could vape all day, and found that sort of sweet flavours like a cheesecake was ideal for me. So now I know the sort of juice I like I am getting other flavours to try out. I tried mixing fruit flavours which usually went down the sink... I am finding it a bit of a long (and a bit expensive) journey to find suitable juices I like, but it is still a lot cheaper than smoking fags, and it's fun !! It's all down to personal taste, and members here will help you out with what works for them, and where to get them. Remember, what ever kit or juices you buy it is still cheaper than buying tobacco. I used to spend about £240 per month on tobacco/ciggies, so over 5 months I have spent about £150 on kit and juices, so you can see the financial benefits. Good luck in taking up vaping as it is getting very popular and does immediately get people off tobacco and onto a fun and much better and cheaper way of 'smoking'. Plus it annoys the hell out of tax man and the tobacco Companies as they are loosing revenue so they are a bit miffed about it.
