Hi everyone! I am brand new to this whole vape thing. I have an itaste vv and aspire bdc coils and tank. I was using peach and switched to skittle flavor. My best friend has been a vape user for about a year so I just have been pretty much doing whatever she does. She doesn't clean between switching flavors just adds a new one and eventually the new flavor comes through. I did the same thing and still can not taste my peach!! I'm still only tasting skittle and I can't stand it!!! I even decided to switch the coil and clean out the tank but nope still taste skittle! I'm thinking it has to be my tongue! Any help or advice would be great!

That is annoying when that happens, I sit my dismantled tank in a cup of boiling hot water with some fairy liquid and leave it for a good 15 minutes then rinse with hot water and give it a good swish. For even more stubborn flavours I'll sometimes use sterilising tablets or if it's a rebuildable atty I might even boil it for a bit.
There's obviously still some skittle juice trapped somewhere and I think you'll either have to carry on vaping till it eventually goes or try cleaning again.

When you find a flavour you like you will hate it a month later, clean everything and use a new coil, you will then get the the flavour of the juice that you are using, but you may not like it, menthol is great for when it all tastes like cats pi**

Sorry for all the questions but what exactly am I able to clean with water? The mouth piece, tank, anything else? I'm not going to mess with cleaning the coils because I have replacements so I'll just switch to a new one.

Take the coil out and stick the rest in a cup of hot water with soap and leave it for a good 15 minutes then rinse with hot water, dry and use.

I know it might seem silly, but some flavours hang around a long time in the mouth. Could be worth trying using a mouthwash and trying again.

It will also depend on how strong the flavours are in the first place, on the speed you can ' vape through ' a past flavour klamb and how sensitive your taste buds are of course. A heaped teaspoon of Bicarbonate of Soda ( found in the Bakery Aisle of most large supermarkets ) in a tea cup of hot water, is another effective way of shifting any residue flavour.

Hi klamb and to AAEC. You can wash the coil heads too, when I change flavours on a stock coil I rinse mine under warm running water until it looks clean, pat dry with a piece of kitchen towel (vapers best friend!) and then leave to dry on a windowsill. Be careful not to dislodge or catch the wicks though as they can come loose quite easily and can result in leakage and gurgling when you put the coil back in the base. I also wash the whole clearomiser (especially when new) in warm soapy water and rinse under clean running water then either dry with kitchen towel or leave to dry on a windowsill.

A very to you klamb. as you have said, your new so please do be aware that your taste buds have been shot to pieces after extended tobacco usage. They will return along with your sense of smell, as a result you will find different flavours to enhance your experiance. just be patient and enjoy.

mate i would watch out for the menthol brigade, it's not like it brushes ya teeth for ya and it gives ya a bed head like when you're chompin on the suga free extra all day, tbf it aint cool either, menthol is for birds and folk who go to bingo 3 times a week
