I've gone for a different way of dealing with this one, offering to work a night shift! I won't be able to do OT for the next month or so, so I thought I'd make some money rather than spend a lot.

I absolutely will not be trying to watch the match on my phone when I should be concentrating on work, I wouldn't dream of it!

I had £30 or so on o1.5 goals and £5 on Spain o1.5 cards. How they only picked up one yellow, I'll never know.

I stupidly missed Holland's 2nd half fun, not that anyone but the swine who had £7 on Alonso 1st goalscorer and Netherlands 5-1 on Betfair at 999/1. I hope he didn't put too many silly bets on to make a profit!

I think alcohol is the best idea.  We have friends coming this afternoon and staying tonight, so there will be much eating and drinking anyway...  I'll either be so sozzled I won't care what the score is or I'll have already passed out and be in bed sleeping it off!

But I've still got £210 to play with from my initial £50 deposit, so all is far from lost. No work to get in the way of today's matches either.

My tip of the day? Argentina o1.5 cards is at evens on B365.

They have picked up 113 cards in previous tournaments, more than any other nation. They should be good for a couple later.
