Hi all I just got my vamo v5 which came with a 4900 mah battery. I charged it last night and wore it out in 6 hours. Is this normal or do you think I have a dud battery. I only went through 2ml of juice at 8 ohm. I also kept gettin low load when I put my pro tank 3 on but was ok with a protank 2. One last question looked on ebay and batteries have many different mah ratings. What is right? Sorry to ask so many daft questions but did look through threads and couldn't find answers

One last question looked on ebay and batteries have many different mah ratings. What is right? Sorry to ask so many daft questions but did look through threads and couldn't find answers OK, Firstly there are no 4900 mAh LiIon 18650's as far as I know, this seems to be an "inflated" capacity. 1. What make is the battery? 2. Where did you buy it from? 6 Hours Vaping, is a hard thing to quantify, you see we all vape differently, some just the odd quick toke, others sucking on their mods continuously like a dummy TBH 6 hours does not sound great, but also not bad. New batteries take a few charge cycles to reach their full capacity. LOW LOAD You may be screwing your Protank in too hard, it only needs to be finger tight, also check the coil is seated in the head properly. If you screw an atomiser in too hard it compresses the O ring in the connector (on the atomiser and in the device) and causes a short. As a beginner, when you're buying batteries stick to the following makes initially until you get more experience : AW IMR, Efest, Panasonic, Sony. Others may disagree and will no doubt mention other brands, but to keep it simple you will not go too far wrong with those.

8 ohms don't sound right to me. normally a pre made coil would be 2.8 or lower. Could explain the low load message..lower resistance = higher load. I've never used a vamo though

Welcome to the forum.
I wouldn't believe any of our type of batteries that claimed nearly 5ah So I would suggest you purchase a decent battery as that sounds did to me. Not sure on the vamo but my SVD lasts about 2 days light vaping, I did manage to use a full battery yesterday but I was hammering it last night with a beer. Still had some power this morning but not much.
No pro tanks here so can't comment. My tanks are dual coil, single coils will use less battery. You can not be vaping at 8ohms! Ohms is the resistance of your atomiser. Perhaps 8 watts. I vape my iclears between 6 and 8 watts but 8 gets a bit warm if you keep chugging lol, you may like a warm vape though. Start low and work your way up.
Many others will. Chime in soon.

Thanks for your comments the battery says ultrafire tr 18650 4900 mah 3.7v li-ion and is blue in colour Ultrafire are KNOWN for VASTLY overstatng the capacity of their batteries. If you buy from Ebay then use one of these Vendors: "Torchy The Battery Boy" THESE BATTS will be fine in your Vamo. Or another vendor with good reviews is Ecolux . Or Stick to the battery makes I put above, you do NOT need to buy protected batteries to use in a Vamo.

Yes 8 watts not ohms. Bought from ebay tried a number of shops to buy batteries without success. The ecig shop in Colchester keeps nothing better than blisterpaks (mobile phone shop) and horrible juices (in my opinion)

There are a lot of fake batteries on Ebay some of them cant even spell 'ultrafire' on the label saying 'uternfore' or something similar. Why anyone would want to fake ultrafire or surefire or trustfire is beyond me they are second rate batteries anyway. Only get batteries from a place you know does the real thing.
