Tank disintegrated

A Vivi Nova mini to be precise, only had the thing for a week and was looking forward to trying Joose juices banana flavour today, at least I managed to get half a lungful before the tank cracked into several pieces dumping it's contents all over my keyboard, I'm not a happy bunny. I'm now without an atomiser and my keyboard smells like a bag of cheap sweets.

Can I get a replacement tank? I haven't managed to find one anywhere?

Banana may be the problem, I think for some reason it is a tank cracker, you can buy metal tubes which will be better

As Beautycat says, it will be the banana, not a faulty tank. Certain ingredients crack polycarbonate tanks. There's a list of likely suspects posted somewhere

Banana's definitely the culprit, some of them just seem to have that effect on polycarbonate tanks.

I've had a couple of tanks go on me, evods with banana. You would have thought I'd have learnt after the first.

I'm amazed by the very concept of a polycarbonate item having such an instant chemical reaction.
Do they literally fall to bits like op said? Intriguing

ruffdog what happened with both of my evods was the windows kind of went frosty looking then they just fell apart within a minute. The mouth piece looked like it had been snapped off when all I had done was put it to my mouth then liquid all over. I should have put the pieces into the banana liquid in a small glass just to see what happened.

I was amazed too, it started as a spiral crack from the base, I thought it was just a trick of the light until I rubbed my finger over it. That's when the tank fell to pieces. It's way at the bottom of the bin now covered in two day's worth of leftovers, otherwise I'd take a snap for you.
It's a bit disconcerting TBH. If certain juices can do that to polycarbonate, what effect could they be having on the the lungs?
I've ordered a new unit and a spare metal tank from Cloud9 , seems I had a snide version so the proper tanks would not fit anyway.
