Rave-on for rayon?

I've been using 2.25 mm in Kayfun (1.3 - 1.5 ?), going to try the 3 mm as I have one with Rico in at the moment.

I have never had a BC tank, but your guess sounds right, maybe make the coil a bit thinner so the CW or rayon is not as tight in the juice inlets as it is in the coil if that makes sense.  I'm just guessing here, but if you cannot give advise on things which you have no experience on the web then the world has changed over night.

Like your thinking as the hole in the sides of the coil assembly where the wick sticks out is probably smaller.

My next think to coil barring drippers will be the protank coils so will bare that in mind too.

Will do.

I am also going to try the same head in my Protank 3 with fresh Rayon and then recoil my Russian 91% and see if they are OK.

ETA:- coil and Rayon fine, no problems in the Russian 91%. Very cool vape even at 10.5 watts vaping RA mid d at 15%. Nice clean taste, but not over powering.

Maybe your resistance is too low zeldamum

Just a thought. My resistance is about 2.2 on my VTR......maybe worth adding an extra coil or two?

I'm getting good results with coils hovering right up at the 1.6-1.8 mark, yes that high... though one of the KFs is sitting at 1.2 and coping nicely with 15W.

Coping well in dripper at 0.56 ohms, so roughly 25+ watts depending on battery charge.

Does suck up the juice quick mind, and with similar flow right to las.
Caught me out a couple of times as suddenly get taste of drywick.
Unlike cotton that changes taste as juice tails off and needs topping up.

With cotton once its burnt you really need to change it as it doesn't taste good.
I swear with this stuff just top back up and seems fine!? anyone else confirm this.

Considering the above happened at least twice today the wick still looks good...bit confused by that.

I dont think so, i really do think it is because where the wick comes out of the sides of the evod is so small its not wicking fast enough for me. Good excuse for me to get some more Russians and just use ready made heads or recoil them with silica.

Hell yeah, the Tobh has a 0.8 dual coil and when using that it's worth peeking occasionally to see how it's doing, it uses juice that fast and there's no hint it's about to dry out. Though when it does all that happens is the vapour tapers off, open her up and there's a wind of dry looking white rayon inside.

You really need to fluff the ends up to get a good wicking area, and seal to stop leaks. I know this is a spheroid build with rayon but the ends coming out of the side of the evod should look like this;

As zeldamum suspects.... I reckon it's a design issue with the bccs ...perhaps they're best just left with silica or CW ... I could never be arsed to phaff around with rebuilding them anyway.. Not when the replacements are so reasonable.....

Hoping my Rayon arrives tomorrow ... Can't wait to try it in Taifuns / kayfuns

I have the same piece of rayon in my kayfun that has been there for 12 days now when I find time in a couple of days I am going to check it as I still don't believe it is still going strong

I've rewicked a mini protank 2 which has the same heads as an evod with the rayon and it works a treat.

@marks I am glad someone else has managed to get an Evod/Protank coil with Rayon wick to work, it gives me faith to carry on trying. I think I must be putting too much in and then when putting the head back together it is squashing the wick so it doesn't wick very well.

In the Russian the Rayon was lovely, then it leaked!

I won't give up as I really like the draw with Evods and want the nice clean vape of Rayon and cw compared to silica.
