Got my Origen v2 clone (infinite) today. Looks great. Firstly what a PITA to build! Not a big problem, but I don't have the right size Allen key and one wasn't supplied with the atty. pliers and perseverance needed. the big problem is that the negative centre screw doesn't stick out far enough from the 510 connector (it's recessed in the screw fitting) so it won't connect with my dna30. What's more, I don't have any tiny o-rings that fit. Any ideas? Have I just got a dodgy one, or is there a simple solution to this that I'm missing? Can I file down the 510? tagging those I know have one, but help welcome from all quarters: blakey Super-Shiny

Can you pull the pin on your DNA up a little. You can get small o'rings out of disposable lighters or you use some Plumbers PTFE tape, I don't know the atty, but from the OP I guessing the centre of the 510 unscrews.

Thanks VapingBad - a bit of dinner, a few deep breaths and I've sorted it out. Lifting the DNA pin wouldn't help because it still wouldn't make contact with the screw (which you're right, unscrews). So I've borrowed the tiny o-ring from my taifun, which is just the right size, and hey presto! I have my taifun set up like a spheroid, so the o-ring shouldn't be missed too much... The Origen is vaping nicely, got a 0.9 ohm dual vertical coil set up and strawberry crunch in the well. 15w on the dial and tasty tasty in my mouth!

Well done ionian, if you can measure that o'ring you can get almost size cheap on eBay, glad you got it sorted.

No worries Super-Shiny - I think it's an issue with the delrin insulator not being seated low enough. It's an easy fix if anyone else has a problem, but annoying!

Sorry, I was at work. Glad you got it sorted. I have so many Allen keys here that came with different mods that I never even noticed whether any came with the cloned Origen's Found that a vertical micro coil performs best for me in it.

Ive also got one too, and yea the center post is silly recessed into the 510 connector, i cant work out why that is nor can i work out how to remove the insulators to reseat or modify them to push it out slightly - the other thing is the hole in the post will more than likely be obstructed by the knurled nuts if you take it out too far - Any other tips or tricks from owners?

With the little o-ring in the base the centre pin hole is just usable for me - but it's easier to wrap the wires round the post and clamp it down. I've not managed to reseat the insulators either yet. I tried chimney coils to start with but couldn't get the wicks to stay saturated enough at high power, so I moved to dual horizontal coils. It was a right bugger to build but it works better for me with both wick ends in the well. Welcome to AAEC KnightStalker BTW!

Thanks ionian migrated recently - ill have a look through the countless packets of o-rings for various atties and see if one sits nicely. As for the insulator, it looks like one big piece of delrin pushed in from the top, but ill be damned if i can push it back out from the 510 - not sure why infinite did this recess thing, cant get it to work on anything but a nemesis lol not even my ohm meter will pick it up.

Well i figured i would update this post, i managed to fix the issue on one of them, my other was ok - the top piece that holds the 2 allen screws, does indeed unscrew from the base of the atomiser, which then gives you access to the lower insulator and much easier cleaning room as its just a big hole without the top piece separating the 2 wells, ill try and grab a pic next time i rebuild, but its just normal threaded so should come away easily.

I've only just seen this, but I wanted to say an enormous thanks for figuring this out. I stripped it down this evening including removing the piece you mention, and from there it was easy to adjust the delrin into the correct position. Now it works perfectly - I still take ages to build the damn thing, but I love the vape I get once I've made the effort.
