Hiya people, i was just wondering if anyone has noticed weight loss switching from cigarettes to full-time vaping?
I started vaping in October of last year but was still having a few real cigarettes a day as i was on around 25-30 rollies a day before. Two days before New Year, i woke up and my cravings for real cigarettes had completely gone and i haven't had one since then.
Anyways, they say when you give up smoking, you put on weight but because I'm taking in the same amount of nicotine as before, and I'm still doing something with my hands, my eating patterns didn't change. What i have noticed though is weight loss! Around half a stone to be exact i was just wondering if anyone else has experienced this and if so, why?
I've come to the conclusion that all those gorgeous tasting flavours are supressing my need for sweet and sugary snacks as I've noticed a big difference in my snacking habits! For example, if i vape toffee or apple pie flavour etc. I don't fancy anything sweet and full of sugar like that because my tastebuds are already satisfied, I'd rather have a salad or something healthy lol!

That's a good point about sweet flavours help you stay away from sweet snacks. I put on a fair bit of weight over the last 4 years and have been on a diet for 6 months and vaping for 4 months. I have lost 2.5 stone so far and I think your right that vaping may be helping me stay away from the Danish pastries.

Initially I didn't gain like when I used patches ! 2 stone easy ! But that's what you get for substituting cig for a packet of biccies with your coffee must be a hand to mouth thing ! But it's creeping up a bit now can't get to gym like I used to with real life stuff ! Wish I was one of those peeps who couldn't eat when stressed , be a size 8 but no I comfort eat ! Must try harder ! These jeans are feeling very tight today !!! Damn the Bengal lancer Indian I ate last night !!!

I've never actually weighed myself, but people keep telling me I look thin lately... I put it down to vaping... where I used to have a couple of biscuits or something while watching TV of an evening, now I'm happy vapping away... no need to snack!!

EllyHiya babes, I am currently trying to lose a bit of weight. Started vaping 4 weeks ago today, not one ciggy, felt better and less out of breath within 5 days. No gym but I've been walking a lot more and so far lost about half a stone. I think you're right though with the whole "something to satisfy the sweet craving. Cheese still gets me though. Me lurves my cheese and all savoury bad things. Ruff

I have lost some weight from starting vaping, I put it down to drinking less tea (2 sugars). I was on about a dozen mugs of tea every day. I think I used it as a mouth cleaner when I was smoking. Not so much of an issue now so down to 4 or 5 cups a day

I've not lost weight, but I'm already a wide load but least I definitely haven't been snacking! I agree that all the sweet flavours in juice satisfy my sweet tooth and my hands are busy pressing mod buttons to be dipping my hand IN the chocolate buttons................ One of the best things for me is that I now drink at least 2 pints of water a day, I sip all day long. So at least I'm flushing my system out nicely, the minus is amount of loo breaks! There's 5 of us in my home and one loo --- its a battle for the bathroom!

No weight loss or gain but I can now taste what I eat. I eat tons more fruit than I did whilst on the cigs, going mad on cherries and bananas at the minute.

I've only been on the Vape for 9 weeks and I'm definitely in danger of my trousers falling down. I've not actively been trying to lose weight (though I should), but it's just falling off.
Then again, when I started vaping it was to cut down rather than quit, but I instantly quit smoking.
Seems there's no end to the magic of Vaping... Now when will it make me more attractive and successful?

I was drifting up to 12 stone when I stopped using stinkies, now hover around 11 to 11.5 depending how the munchies take me. The only thing much lighter is my wallet, at least when the shinyitis strikes! But saving £15 a day on stinkies outweighs that by a huge amount.

I've lost weight, from my back pocket to be precise - where my wallet lives I compensate for this by consuming plenty of biscuits
