I was a young heavy smoker, looking for an alternative. I know I'd never really have given up due to my severe lack of will power. These regulatory bodies are seriously missing the point, they're ultimately a better alternative to smoking. Say a few non-smokers do pickup a few ecigs and it does lead them on to analogs, would it be fair to take ecigs from the 99% majority who are smokers wanting to give up or enjoying an indefinite but healthier alternative? This would be a regression, a step back in time for many of us.

It's better that any young non smokers pick up an ecig than a real cig. Plus I do think that vendors and the makers of vapour gear should try and get it into the media that any non smokers wanting to try vapeing can with out the need to become addicted to it, as most of the juices come in nic free as well ,
The young will always want to try new things. Drugs are illegal, that are not advanced, but the young still try them out. Most try them and move on. Some people try them and stick with them. This is were the trouble starts for them, But with smoking very few try it and Move on. Those that have a go get very quickly addicted to it. It's not like that with vapeing. You can give it a try with Inc free juice. And then move on. Or stay with it quite happily with knowing that it's not addictive, and has very little if any health problems that come with it

Not bad. ....one small weird thing though.... I thought middle-aged educated people were the most common group to use e-cigs. Anyway, if young, heavy smokers are using them, that's good!

I was an old, heavy smoker looking for a better alternative . . . ecigs aren't ageist are they. ???
Why do the boffins feel the need to ' profile ' them - it's not for our benefit, we know that they can work for any smoker whatever their age!

I fell out with my dad. He gave up smoking in the 70's and took to replacing the hand to mouth action by eating peanuts instead. When I pointed out that not all eliquid comes with nicotine he started to calm down.
So many so called professionals miss the point and hark on about nicotine, but nicotine isn't the only addictive part of smoking.

I'm a middle aged woman that wanted to quit smoking-maybe I should give it up as I'm in the ''wrong'' age bracket?

Some people get upset when I say these are Nicotine Relacement Therapy, which is how I view them. Nicotine is harmless physically and nobody should knock themselves because they dont think they have the willpower to go cold turkey. It has been said that nicotine is 11 times more addictive than heroine. It`s also a new hobby to follow with taste, flavours etc. It`s the perfect cigarette replacement therapy
