I've been thinking of getting into mech mods and drippers been reading through the forum and it got me thinking is there anything to gain by going to mech mods. My question is in your opinion what combo of atty, coil, mod and juice gives the best vape?

The simple answer to this is..............whichever suits your needs. Some folk like to subohmm and hide in a cloud, others prefer to savour a particular flavour. The possibilities are just about endless.

as so often - tastes are different - but the one thing I noticed that there is not much difference, when it comes to vaping between for example the itaste vv or the spinner or the mvp or .... the mvp has the advantage of a long battery life - I personally prefer bottom coils - so I love my protanks - I like the nautilus too - but don't see that much of a difference either - one thing that makes a difference is the air flow controller - won't buy an atty without it

you have misunderstood my question I'll put it a different way out of everything you have if you had to pick just one set up to use what would it be? And why?

There wouldn't really be a lot of point answering this specifically because I like sub ohm builds which are definitely not suited to anyone just getting into drippers, that's quite a bit further down the line. There is no 'best vape' for everyone, just individually and you need to find that yourself. I can recommend a setup though, an Igo-L on something like a Nemesis clone would be a great beginner setup. It wouldn't break the bank and would vape as well as most other setups depending on how you build it. Everyone likes different coil resistances, make sure you check the ohms with a resistance tester which you can find on eBay and stay above 1.0 ohms.

I'm guessing that even the answers to your ' if you had to pick just one set up to use what would it be?' question would be highly variable without also specifying what the liquid and coil resistance are. For example, there are two setups I regularly enjoy but I couldn't mix and match the liquids/mod/atty - I've tried and it doesn't work for me:
1. Protank II Mini, iTaste v3 at 8 watts (or probably pretty much any other VW device), 2 ohm coil and Mystic Juice Arctic Ice 12mg. 2. Kayfun 3.1 ES, Stingray Black Copper, 1.2 ohm coil and Mrs Lord & Co Rough Shag 12mg.
If I switch out the Protank II Mini for a Protank III Mini it's pretty much the same hit but something about it just isn't as nice even though the Protank III Mini is pretty good and would probably be better than the II with another liquid. The Arctic Ice is (in my opinion) pretty horrid in my Kayfun with a 1.2 ohm coil. I must admit that I've not tried it with a 2 ohm coil.

For flavour, Kayfun 3.1 ES and change the wick (and thus probably coil) regularly. Some VW mod or other will do the job, electrons all taste exactly the same to me.

Nemesis or stingray with either Kayfun or TOBH V2 attys
both nemesis and stingray (clones) look great and are relativley hassle free to set up
Kayfun or TOBH you can microcoil with ease, cotton wick with ease and they hit hard and taste great
and both of these setups look really good

kayfun lite plus on a nemesis, easy peasy lemon squeezy
could probs coil and wick the kayfun and set in on a nemesis with my eyes closed and one hand tied behing my back. i am lazy so easier the better for me and the vape of this set up is top noch for me at least

My question is in your opinion what combo of atty, coil, mod and juice gives the best vape? for me at the minute it's nemesis or stingray with protank 2 and airlflow control with 1.5 coil I have a kayfun and have promised that if I don't get my backside into gear and start coiling it in 4 weeks it's up for grabs ! --- I know I keep saying I will get organised .... But I have managed to mix 500ml of various juices today .. Should keep me going for a bit
